My wife is very unhappy with the changes. She has cataracts and uses a resolution of 800x600 on a CRT.
The new scheme has caused her problems and she does not like it at all.
Some forums allow you to choose a preferred scheme.
Don't you think an 'old-style' theme could be offered as an alternative?
I don't post as my wife is always on the forum, but I felt I should stick up for her on this occasion.
I know some of you have dismissed those who have objected to the change with somewhat unkind remarks but if you have similar problems with your eyesight you would realise how this sort of thing can be a real problem...0 -
There should be VERY few people that need to adjust anything really, only those with significant eyesight problems.
The majority simply don't like change and prefer the look of the old site, this is nothing to do with the arguments that most of them have put forwards though which I feel is merely an excuse. The pastels give them headaches, that is the funniest thing i've heard in years, I bet their houses are bright red and bright green to stop them having such a problem.
slight fly in that theory, i was never keen on the old design either;)Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -

However, removing harsh lines to clean the forum up makes it harder to spot the boundaries between things.
I think this is more than a case of us not liking new things.
Anyone able to find any threads for when we changed colours? It wasn't that long ago that we went green was it - perhaps if we can compare reaction to that, to this reaction, it'll show if it is more than us not liking new things.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Why are some people seeing yellow or bright colours? I only see that awful brown stripe on the bottom left hand side. I've been to control panel and can't see any option to change the interface only the reply box interface.0

A lot of people clearly don't like it. I thought the previous design did everything it should have done and was easy to read.Happy chappy0 -
