Oh Sybil you are such a sweetie if it had been me sending Rage in Eden advice it would have been to put itching powder in his undies:rotfl:

Well, it is easy for things to get out of hand - there have been times when I have seriously considered ordering a chainsaw from ebay after one of dear heart's faux pas. But I do love him so much. Even after he thought I was exaggerating about poorliness and he checked that I did actually have a prescription and it was indeed for 500mg penicillin, four times a day.

I'm with Granny Weatherwax, counting to ten just allows you to build up a good head of steam, but fortunately I felt to poorly to act on my initial impulse, and then sighed and it is part and parcel of the man I love.

I do think that Rage in Eden showed remarkable restraint. I do hope you feel better soon, Rage in Eden. You could always tell him that he has upset you so much that he is going to have to do all the ironing. With dear hearts it is entirely possible that he doesn't realise how much he has upset you. And even just your normal posts I could never imagine you as a 'r' AND I agree re the new President. So there!
[Infected, inflamed sebaceous cyst - on my ladybits  And the dr said that if it got worse I should go straight to A&E. So of course I am having palpitations . I am a dreadful hypochondriac, but they keep finding things wrong with me! During the examination I had to point little bear's pushchair in the opposite direction :o:o:o:o.]

Also, done nothing to find new photo studio for ebay. Little bear keeps stirring then napping. So I keep thinking I have only five minutes before his lunch...

Hi all just taking a break from jobsearch. :(

On a side note I have a coupla mates who have put bets on Obama getting shot in the next 2 weeks. It's not that they are against him but there are so many loonies and rednecks in the US etc..He seems a very good man and reminiscent of Kennedy and we all know what happened to him..

I am getting a bit ticked off waiting for a parcel to arrive. Someone sent me a parcel of a large hardbacked book on Saturday first class and I have yet to receive it. Plus a lot of the freebies I have sent for have been recieved by others but not me.I will be complaining to Royal Mail.

Have to take my dvds to the postbox. Forgotten who it was recommended it to me form here but I saw "A Good Year" last night with Russell Crowe despite the fact that he normally irritates the heck out of me. It was a good film, kinda ok but would have been a lot funnier if he hadnt been the one delivering the funny lines. He not only can't pull off a British accent , he just doesn't have the charm and wit to pull off comedy IMO.

On a good note my tickets for Kettering turned up yesterday so can;t wait to go up there for the game.

Dinner tonight is prob gonna be something involving the YS pork, apple and cranberry sausages I defrosted yesterday.

Plans for the rest of the day - but of tidying up, washing dishes, more jobsearch :( , reading some of my book club book on travel through the Congo, and getting my stuff ready for an interview in Central London tomorrow lunchtime. It is only for an agency so probably will be a waste of time as they tend to haul you in at great expense ( will cost me at least £5 I think) and then nothing ever comes of it.You don't hear from them and I don't think they ever submit you for anything either. PLus I will have to sit the usual barrage of tests just to prove myself even tho I have many many years actual job experience so it is patently OBVIOUS I can operate a flippin PC!! I actually am at WELL advanced level but always tend to do crap at tests. I tend to think well if I was crap on computers and at word, excel etc then I would have been found out and wouldnt have been able to do the jobs I have done and for a long time. I find agencies very patronizing sometimes. After all I don't see the point of all this questioning about what kind of job is your ideal and what kind of office you would like to work in. I don't care to me it is importantly only that I have a job and get paid. Whether I like it, whether it bores or stimulates me or like the people etc is of NO importance to me whatsoever. To me the important questions are can you do this job, do you have the skills , do you want the job and will you show up and work hard?

    Wannabe Sybil -
    ouch!

(((((hugs)))) to all visitors of the doctors or dentists the last couple of days

Not posted for couple of days, have found it to be hard as have been so tired. Consequently was sent home yesterday as I have had a slight relapse in the m.e. to the point that it was causing me to fall asleep at my desk! and I looked like a bag of spanners. Came home and slept for a few hours and then slept for 13 hours last night. Aching pretty bad but am positive that if I rest for the next couple of days, I should be ok to go back in on Monday.

Corned beef hash for tea tonight (yum) and homemade pear crumble (even yummier). No cleaning/ housework for me, I'm too tired. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing that I am pleased about it, because I am normally quite houseproud.

Enjoy the day, whats left of it.
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

    Good afternoon all
Not good news from here I popped next door to see if she had seen my cat and we checked the back garden as she has a lovely patio for him to sun himself and he is always treated to a saucer of tuna and milk and loved by our neighbours family as much as us we checked under the chair he sometimes goes under and looked and called and found him stretched out in his fave sunny place he must have been there since yesterday afternoon as it was sunny I shall miss him as he was 12 and so affectionate and my DS who got him when he was 18 months used to say ameow so we called him emille. Will tell the kids later DH is at work its his birthday as well. he is still next door but am so glad he obviously went to sleep in the sun will have to cancel vets appointment for this eve and ask DH to deal when he gets home

Halight - you do have a lot on your plate, yet you always sound so positive. Fingers crossed that everything works out for you and I think the choice of career you would like is admirable. Good luck - you sound exactly the sort of person who should be working with the disabled.

  • Tired mum - I am so sorry. It sounds like a much loved furry friend.

I left the box of nappy changing essentials in little bear's room by mistake. I had to go to the loo, and woke him up. He is (rather against my better instincts) eating a lunchable, which at least he will eat. I have wiped up all the sudacrem from the side of the chest of drawers (he obviously thinks that is a place that requires cream) and also off the window (well, as well as I could. I will have to go back with vinegar. I hope a long wash with plenty of suds will get the sudacrem off his duvet (which he hates being under anyway so at least I don't have to stress about getting it dry. I've double checked for any nappy bags lying around and I'll check again when I go back up. There are, of course, no wipes left in the packet.

And of course I love him to bits!

    Hugs to all.

Reverbe - I agree. Sometimes I felt (back in the days) that I would be saying, 'and I walk across the floor by putting this foot first, then the other foot, then the first, watching out for obstacles... I am willing to do the in-house course...' Hope something turns up soon.

Before I write anything i must say a massive massive THANKYOU to REDRUBY for sending me A Thousand Splendid Suns! I can't wait to read it and i loved swapping with you :-)

Now then, just got in, Dad had to have a chest x ray at the hospital this morning, bless him, he has had two lots of antibiotics and steroids already and now he is on a third course, i'm hoping and praying they work this time but with C.O.P.D and asthma as well it's really difficult for him to shift these horrid lingering infections.

I did go to Boots and spent £10.07 in there today but i got 6 clearance skincare products that were worth over £40 if i had paid the proper price so i am well chuffed about that.

The washer is on and it only has 1 washing tablet in because i've put me soda crystals in as well ;)

I am hoping to be able to get through to the end of Jan and stay in the GC target i set myself, but it's looking more and more unlikely, still it's the first time i've done it. I have had 14 no spend days this month though!

Hope you are all okay, will read the thread top to bottom tonight when i have more time, right now though i'm going to go to asda to buy some cheap cleaning products, i was in there last night but didn't have time to have a good look around but i may as well buy as many as i can afford of things like bleach and washing up liquid (Fairy 2 for £1 frinstance) while it is on offer i figure.

    Have a great day everyone!

  • Also, hugs to bargain bird. Sometimes I don't think these doctors realise just how alarming it is to hear this sort of thing. Hope all goes well.
