    Afternoon all,
Just been reading the thread backwards which is very confusing I must say:D

Sybil toddlers eh? Just remember you'll look back one day and think 'how sweet' -no,really you will;)

Dd is much better, she's done some homework which is a good sign. I think she might be well enough to go back to school tomorrow. I hope so, it'll give me a chance to rush round and do all the errands I haven't been able to do this week before my mum comes. I really want to get out for a walk too-I'd just got into the habit of doing it everyday and haven't been able to do it at all this week. (By the way if *anyone* is reading this and thinks I'm being selfish :p:p:p )

Ds1 is back from the hospital, he is now on an 18 week waiting list to have surgery on his chin which apparently will give him a scar just like Harrison Ford's:D

I'm planning pasta with tomato and bacon sauce for OH and the kids. I fancy something different so I'm having a huge plate of broccoli & cauliflower cheese which no-one else will eat.

    Beemuzed, ((((hugs))))

Nat, what a great OH! I've just got a Panny 255 too - I told my Dad that they were highly recommended on here, so he bought himself one, he was so impressed he bought them for my mum and all us kids too! I got mine on Monday - we never used to eat much bread, but I've had to make three loaves already - and there's only two of us!

    Good afternoon all.
Sorry I can't type enough to mention all who deserve a mention, but hugs to all in need.
Tired Mum, so sorry about your furry friend, at least he would have felt happy lying in the sun. Halfpint, I'm still thinking of you and love your photo, what a gorgeous dog.
Sybil, I feel for you, I've had the same afflication a few times, it's so undignified lying with your legs in the air trying to see in a little mirror. You take care because I once had to go to A&E and was admitted and operated on the same day. I'm always getting infected abcesses and cysts, DH says it's 'cos I'm rotton inside lol. He doesn't mean it he's lovely really.
I hope Little Bear isn't being too cheeky, tell him Granny sends a big sloppy kiss. Pity you don't live near, I could have him for an afternoon.
I've just finished being artistic. We've just decorated the spare room AKA the dog's room. We have a king size bed but I hated the headboard so we got rid of it and I bought a huge canvas picture to go over the bed. It was the most awful picture but was reduced from £25 to 5 so I helped myself to a sample of wallpaper in Focus and covered it over. It looks fantastic. I'm not sure that you're meant to take half a roll for a sample, but no one objected.
Veg all prepped for dinner and we have sliced chicken which was frozen from the last roast.
    Enjoy the evening.

    Hi All,

Back from the hospital now so have been catching up on the thread - wow it's getting long now :D The new consultant was lovely, very chatty & seemed to understand the probs of having epilepsy as a teenager - not too much drinking & partying as tiredness can cause seizures, although not too much of a worry for now thankfully! DD got the usual weight, blood pressure & height checks & then just a chat about her current medication. Nothing will change as she's doing very well on it. She has, however, been a bit of a s!d recently & forgetting to take her tablets morning & evening. They did used to be downstairs with me reminding her to take them but, when she turned 16 she decided that it was high time she started being responsible for them herself. I check the strip in a morning when I'm tidying round & lately there haven't been as many empty spots as there should be  We've had a chat & come up with the idea of taking her morning tablet with breakfast & the evening one with dinner. That way she's setting a habit up. Hopefully after 28 days the habit will be ingrained :T Gentle reminders from me will probably help too. I won't come on all strong about it though I've learned with dd that she responds better to gentle reminders & calm talking. It's only took me 16 yrs :rotfl:

Anyway enough wiffling for now hope everyone is having a good day!

Hello everyone, havent been posting lately but have been dipping in and out reading the posts. Things have been a bit on the tough side, no work for DH although he has work today and tomorrow and apart from and odd day he hasn't had anything since two weeks before christmas. So very tight and we still have to pay huge bills for vehicle mot's and tax etc so dull and boring.
Weather is rainy today but we have had lots of snow lately and today I have two DS's home feeling poorly with temperture and headaches.
Anyway on a brighter note good OS wise have lasagne for tea tonight and mackerel from the freezer defrosting for tomorrow, so will get back in the swing of things now. Made some twinks today too yummy but fattening.

tired mum sorry to hear about your cat. We lost our 2 cats in the summer one was 16 and put to sleep and the other was 8 and was poisoned whilst we were on holiday and had an unpleasant last 2 days before being put to sleep. They very much become part of your family. I still miss them but we have 2 daft kittens that are so entertaining to be with .
i don't know what age your kids are but there is a lovely Mog the cat book by Judith Kerr about Mog dying and a new kitten arriving. i read it with my girls after the cats died.
    Take care x

Gosh i just got back from Asda and from doing the school run and was told at the asda checkout that i couldn't buy more than 6 bottles of Fairy washing up liquid (2 for £1) as it wasn't fair to others, even though they had millions of bottles stacked up at various points in the store. I told the cashier 'that's okay, i can always come back tomorrow and get some more!'

I wouldn't mind but this is the first time i've done this bulk buying thing really and i've seen others with trolleys full of offers like this in the past. Also i wasn't just buying them for me i was buying some for mum. Nevemind, i will call and get mum some tomorrow probably.

Also, just put a brill tip in the OS Forum into practice today. I previously tried diluting pump handwash in dispensers to eek it out but it just squirted soapy water all over the place, so today i found a 1 Litre Asda 18p bubble bath and decanted it into 2 x 500ml empty handwash dispensers....so i now have 2 x handwashes at only 9p each. I LOVE it!

Going to get tea on now, bacon cheese and tomatoes whith a massive loaf that was whoopsied to 50p. Back later to read through!
