Morning everyone
hope you're all having a good day so far? Mine was going okay until the PC played up and MSE froze, which meant I lost what I was writing for this thread!
Enjoyed my fish pie last night and the wind was blowing nicely, so got my washing dried outside, which is always a bonus at this time of year.
HAve a good day everyone - hugs to all that need and hope that the appointments all go well.0 -
Morning:D
Does anyone else keep getting the *glitch* message about the forums? This will be my third and last attempt to post:rolleyes:
It's cold and miserable here too. The bit of my leg the lappy *burns* is lovely and warm though.
Leftover chicken casserole tonight for us, so a nice easy one. Might thaw some stuff from the freezer and do a bit of batch cooking. I know there's a couple of big packs of mince in there, so I could do chili, bolognese, and shepherd's pie. Mine's a very small freezer so I'm very limited in how much I can keep, but luckily I have run down stocks recently, so could probably fit in the extra bulk once these were cooked. I know I've plenty of onions, mushrooms and peppers etc so it would help empty the fridge too;) Other than that just normal cleaning to do.
Also want to wish Aussie Happy Birthday for our tomorrow  If we leave it until tomorrow her day will be coming to an end. Hope you get up to some lovely gifts later, and have an indulgent day:D
Quick look round, then I really must start:p CM xYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
You've got me all confused now CM. It's my tomorrow, tomorrow too.

I'm still 40 atm  I'll be 41 in 4 hours.
Thanks. :A Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Good Morning All
Hope you are all having a good day so far (((((((hugs))))))) to anyone who isnt. Well dare I say it but woke up this morning, after a blissful 4 hours sleep (thats a good sleep for me these days) and feel great! Still in pain but seem to have a bit more get up and go than I have in months. Hope I havent spoke to soon, probably wont be able to move by this afternoon! Lol
So far I have cleaned the bathroom, hoovered/dusted living room, hoovered stairs and landing, cleaned hall floor and am just about to start on the kitchen. Usually I couldnt even get through all that in one day so hoping the steroid injection is doing its thing!
My mum and dad are coming down today, going to visit my sister and little neice. I absolutely adore her, shes 10 months and such a little princess. Kind of tugs on my heart strings though, with all that is going on DH and I have had to put our family plans on hold for a few years. Think I will just concentrate on enjoying her though.
Not too sure what the plans for dinner are, am thinking if I am still feeling this good a little later I may make homemade potato wedges and..............something! lol Cant really think what off the top of my head!
Hope you all have a great day!
L xoxoxIts hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

Been trying to keep up OS, but so tired recently that making my own potato wedges is about as good as I've managed!!!!! Got MIL coming for lunch today so off to make some leek and potato soup - but had to call her to ask her to bring the bread as I can't face leaving the house in this weather!
must go and get organised x
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

Made DH a cooked breakfast as a treat so he is quite happy.
Washing is on the line outside and have put neck of lamb, parsnips, carrots, onions, leeks and potatoes in the slow cooker to make a hot pot thingy for tonight.
Meant to get free range eggs from the market today but can't seem to get myself going so might just stay warm and read my book (the latest Scott Mariani).

Hi all
feeling very sorry for myself after my visit to the dentist yesterday:o
It seemed to take ages to get those back roots out and he hit the nerve a few times........i was gripping the arms of the chair to stop myself wimpering:rolleyes: ......it didnt feel too bad afterwards whilst it was still anaesthetised but my god it hurt later:eek: ....i was in bed by 6 30 crying like a big wuss as even the cocodamol didnt touch it. DS let OH put him to bed which is unusual for him but he could tell it was hurting me. feels slightly better today but bruised and can`t eat anything....also it looks like a bit of tooth is still there although my mum assures me it is just a bit of exposed jaw bone:eek: .
Mudgekin you have my sympathy, we seem to be in the same state today.
r.mac I hope baby doesnt keep you waiting too long...make the most of the rest while you can I say:D
Just taking it easy today, making some mealplans etc.
jamies sausage and tomato bake for tea with mash.
DS has his appt tomorrow at the autism centre to be assessed for dyspraxia so we will se how that goes....have waited 18 months for the appt!
Hugs to all who are suffering with illness or sadness at the moment.
btw has anyone heard from D&DD recently? I know ds2 had his op and was back home so she is prob busy in nursemaid role...hope they are ok.0 -
Got everything set up to ebay ebay ebay.
My 'photo studio' is little bear's pushchair lined with a pillowcase. It is just right for all the books I am getting rid of.
Guess where evil cat is sleeping? And I just don't have the heart to move her. I think she is feeling a bit low. So I shall see what alternative arrangements I can manage.
But have done some washing up (collapsing sink and bad back make washing up agony at the moment) and put in alleged roasting joint into the slow cooker. I do hope, however, that I will get three meals out of the £5.21 (just under a kilo) of meat. I know many here can get far more, but I am actually quite proud. Also added to the mix is the leftover dried mushrooms, about half dozen small onions (Sainsburys basics), small amount of dried no soak peas left over in the packet and some barley to soak up the fat included on the roast (and the weight, and the price). Also a generous splash of mushroom ketchup which is a vital ingredient to such meals.
r.mac - the old wives tales are to undo all the knots in the house. It almost certainly won't help, but I hope it will take your mind off things looking for knots. Wishing you lots and lots and lots of luck. (little bear was about a week early but I was glad it was over even then!).Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
