I think someone should (if they have time etc) to create a quick blog about gcpcs, so that it will come up on google searches to save anyone else from using the site....and having thier credit cards twice charged etc

Whoot! Even more crazy prices! If {Removed by Forum team} is still reading this thread (I have no doubt he will be monitoring it), I would strongly recommend you to reduce your prices if you want ANY chance of regaining any sort of reputation!!!

Garmin nuvi 200w = £114.99 from cowboy's site ...CURRYS HAVE THESE IN STOCK FOR £89.99! http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/983723

    Garmin nuvi 255w = £169.99 from the teenage entrepaneur...OR ONLY £146 FROM www.argos.co.uk

    TomTom One V4 = £144.99 from {Removed by Forum team}....OR JUST £119.97 FROM CURRYS!!!!

    Navman S70 = £144.99 from {Removed by Forum team}shoddy webshop.....OR BUY THE NEWER S80 FROM HALFORDS AT ONLY £119.90!!!

    TomTom GO 520 = £169.99 from {Removed by Forum team}junk dot com.......OR ONLY £139.99 FROM HALFORDS

I mean, come on.....I haven't even started with the mobile phone prices yet, but on first glance, they are ridiculous! How do you honestly expect to do any trade when you are still more expensive than the leading electricals retailers????! I'm sure that anyone with a price-savvy head on them will still avoid your shop like the plague!

...then you spit the dummy when you have unhappy customers. If you can't compete with the big boys, I suggest you try your hand at another trade.

Also noticed the T&C's on the website are just links.

The first link directs the user to the Sale of Goods Act 1979. These are simply the LEGAL guidelines which the retailer must adhere to, and are in no way guidelines for a consumer....

The second link directs the user to the Distance Selling Regulations - "Guide for Businesses". This document simply outlines the guidlines that the SELLER must adhere to NOT the buyer.......THEY CAN NOT BE DIRECTLY USED AS T&C's!!!! They are in no way intended to be used for consumer reading.......

QUOTE: "If a product is found to be faulty you must notify us within 7 working days of receipt." WRONG! Legally, the consumer has 6 MONTHS from receipt of delivery to assess and return faulty goods. The goods must then be returned AT THE SELLERS EXPENSE.

I would seriously advise G*ry C**per or a company representative to write some comprehendable terms and conditions as soon as possible!!! If any complaints are received by GCSPCS, they will not have a leg to stand on in a court of law...as, they effectively have no conditions of sale.....If is stays like this, I can see {Removed by Forum team} being prosecuted in NO TIME.

He taking payments by bank transfer or cheque. But with no address of where you have to send the cheque. For credit/debit card payments you have to ring 020 301 171 66

So he's still breaking the law by not publishing a registered company address and wants us to use a means of payment (bank transfer) for which there is no legal comeback if he reneges on the transaction? Sounds like our {Removed by Forum team}! His contact address is just a mailbox company, I see.

No doubt instead of saying his terms and conditions were checked and agreed by Trading Standards he will no say they have been checked and agreed by Essex Police

P.S Does he still have the part time lawyer dealing with complaints on legal@gcpcs.co.uk

In due course, action shall be taken against those who have made malicious telephone calls or emails.

So I see you are still threatening people. I thought the police had given you a warning about that.

well people. All that's happening is I am selling off the remaining stock and closing down GC's PC's. No profit whatsoever can counter being arrested and thus as you have destroyed it, I shall now continue with plans of what I've always wanted to do. That's buy a house, have a family, go to University and lead a normal life however I do aim to remain self employed for the rest of my life unless part of a university course or for a bit of extra money.

All that is available in stock is the 'Mega Drop Deals' category & the money doesn't go to me, it settles the missing gap in our company accounts that we need to liquidate the assets.

Remember GC's PC's was never anything I ever wanted to do, it was something I accidentally stumbled across that legally made money - I had no interest.

So please cut some slack and let the company die on its own accord.

No, I no longer have the solicitor as I have no funds to be able to pay for one to deal with company issues.

Oh... and the company number and address are very clearly available on the site if anyone bothered to look.

    3 points.

You brought being arrested on yourself and getting reprimanded for making threats.
I doubt you will get to buy a house as burger flipping doesnt pay well?
Finally people will be on your case for quite a long time. So everytime you start something up people will point and warn others.

Now all i can suggest you do is get a proper job dont do anything dodgy.

    Ps.

When you start a proper job, will you give them a set of terms and conditions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

Quote:"All relevant UK consumer and trading laws now apply as terms and conditions." WRONG! It is both lazy and unfair for any distance seller to not include full written details of their terms within the location which they sell (ie the website). Any distance seller MUST detail terms and conditions that apply to THEIR PARTICULAR SALES OUTLET, which constitutes a legal contract between the seller and the buyer. Anyone who buys from gcspcs therefore has not agreed to adhere to any contract, and can cancel and leagally demand a full refund at any time....

Quote: "Any refunds shall be provided in the form of a credit note." WRONG! I suggest that {Removed by Forum team} reads regulation 14 (Refunds) of the DSR sellers guidelines, which tells him that he MUST provide a full monetary refund within 30 DAYS.

{Removed by Forum team}: I suggest you read guideline 3 of the DSR retailer guidelines EXTREMELY CAREFULLY. This outlines the information you must provide to your buyers. None of the guideline have been adhered to on your website, leaving your shop completely open!

    Cut some slack?

Just because the website is being wound up and you are making no profit, it does not give you the right to sell without any terms and conditions. This is unfair on your consumer. If this is the case, you should no longer be selling gift cards, or incentivising further sales with the PC competition.

You also outline that any refunds will be in the form of a credit note.....if the website is to close, how are people meant to spend their credit note? The consumer will inevitably lose their money.....

Regarding the MSE forum destroying your gcspcs website: WRONG! You have destroyed it yourself due to poor terms, conditions and unreasonable delivery/returns policy. I appreciate the legal stuff is quite complicated to set up, but naivity of the regulations is no excuse when a consumer loses money.

I have no sympathy. you brought it on yourself. you got greedy.

and you'll need to work for yourself because you ain't going to get a job.

but then on the other hand i suspect if you set up your own business you'll struggle to get custom too.

    oh dear :j
