I presume most people saw the negative press reports about Boiler Juice ? Sunday Times appeared to be in the lead on it.

Looks like the only safe way is to check prices for yourself.

My Neighbour / Friend used them over before xmas and the trouble she had was a nightmare, after her bad experience I will be sticking with my local oil company, yes sometimes slightly more expensive (£3 or £4) but at least you're guaranteed a speedy delivery and they never leave you stuck if you run out.

What date was this as I missed it? I would never use them again as I ordered and paid for oil in December 2009 and it arrived over 4 weeks later in January 2010!
  • Here's the search result from the Times website but it's pay to view if you want to read the articles.
  • Best prices at the moment:

    500L £264
    900L £465

Marginally cheaper now in the North West as opposed to the big difference a few weeks back.

Also, good to see Bangor Fuels being one of the cheapest again after a few weeks of being one of the dearest.

Still far to dear though...................roll on the warmer weather.

Between petrol, diesel and home heating oil, I'm tired of being shafted week in, week out.

Can i ask - approximately how much oil do you use in a week? i worked out i used 53.84L a week since end of dec - 3 bed semi - 1 bedroom not heated. That's 200L providing 105 hours of heating and hot water. So 1.9L per hour? Think that's right? We've been so careful and have been regularily freezing in the house - wrapping up with extra clothes and blankets to save as much as possible but it all seems to be in vain!!! It probably is - just needed to have a moan, sorry!! BAH!!
