Just ordered 900 L from Moore fuels in Derry at £380,not too bad.Was being quoted around another £7-£10 from other suppliers, i usually get my oil from craigs but thought i would shop around this time.
A £7 saving is better in my pocket :)
Last time i had tank filled was september with 900 L

Looking to order oil at the moment. Did a check on http://www.cheapestoil.co.uk/ and the cheapest price for delivery in Belfast is about £400 for 900 litres. Has anyone found anything cheaper? Thanks. :)

Thanks seatzie and suki. Ordered it today for £403, and yes, it's definitely only going to be getting higher from now on towards the winter.....

...for anyone who finds Maxol Direct Online has best price, you may also be able to use their £7 off for 700 litres or more purchase, offer.

We tried Maxol for first time in September (1800 litre purchase for, from memory, £751), and with the online discount promotion they had running then, their rates worked out better than our regular supplier.

I phoned maxol today .They wouldn't price match Bangor fuels .They would only drop the price £4 .
So I phoned Bangor fuels ,I asked if they deliver Via the front door ,they said yes so I placed my first order .Paid by card .I asked what happens if the tank dosent hold all the oil ,they said the payment can be left on account for next time or returned to card . £406 for 900 litres

Yeah, we had that with them last week and we have always bought our oil from them, so the wife rang back later and got a girl (previous was a man) and got the price match.

The girl was very nice and apoligized. :j

  • Please can someone put my mind at ease - I had 400l of oil put in on 20th Nov and today 22nd Dec- it is all gone!! I know it's cold but I bought 400 instead of usual 200 to make sure we got through the winter. Also, there was still some oil left from previous time. 200l the time b4 that lasted us from 30th Sept till 3rd Nov. Paid £187 for 400l from Redon Fuels and I'm going to struggle now finding money again. Does anyone think there might be something wrong with our system or the fuel itself or is this about right? we live in a 3 bed semi - 3rd bedroom not heated, renting so don't know about insulation we have. such a nightmare! Any comments appreciated!
