Check first thing in the morning to ascertain the 'going rate' for the quantity I require.
Phone a supplier I use and (i) get them to at least price-match and (ii) ensure they can deliver the following day, at the latest.
If they can't do both, then I move on to another supplier.
There is an ever growing number of suppliers out there at the moment and most will, in my experience, do their utmost to meet my requirements as they value my custom. Of course, there are others who, I would suggest, are getting it too easy and adopt a more cavalier and offhand approach.
I live in Belfast and not some rural outback, so there has never been a problem irrespective of the time of year or weather conditions and for you to accuse me of mendacity is, quite frankly, undignified and disrespectful and reflects badly on you.

Redon fuels has been the cheapest for us the past 3 or 4 times we needed oil and could always delivery next day or later if I requested!! Seems like only certain companies have delivery issues, we had out last delivery on Dec 23rd with no problem at all.
Oh and the drivers are also very polite, unlike some!;)0 -
I got next day delivery last week (I ordered in the evening, otherwise could have been same day) from Speedfuels in Carrick, no extra fees and girl on phone was lovely.0

Most petrol stations (not large supermarket ones) sell them, or here in the North West the likes of our local spar sell emergency 20 or 25 litre drums too. If you can get the drums empty its cheaper to go to a petrol station that sells heating oil from the pump, Nicholls in Greysteel etc.... sell this by the litre and it works out cheaper than an emergency drum.I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
Last drum i got was from a spar and not a garage spar either !0

You must know better than we. Last time you filled up in or near November, how much did you have left in January?0 -
