  • OPEC said it is cutting 2.2 million barrels a day from its output -- the largest ever at one time -- to stem crude prices that have plummeted over 70 percent from summer highs of nearly $150.
An OPEC statement said its latest announcements means it is taking 4.2 million barrels a day off the market compared to September levels.

  • I ordered 600 litres from Thompsons Fuels this morning for £218 - I think last Monday was the cheapest oil has been in years - about £6 less than today - so just missed out on that one.
  • Maxol Direct were quoting me almost a week to deliver (last week), so I went with Lisburn Fuels. Prompt delivery and very efficient. Maxol have just lost a customer! No effort made to try and offer to get it to me quicker either - clearly getting it too easy, that crowd. £314 for 900L btw. Hopefully it will dip below the £300 in the new year.
  • Just ordered 500 litres from Nicholl Oils for £184. The barrel price rose above $40 today again so got in incase the OPEC decision starts to put the prices up again so nice and warm for Christmas (although our boiler keeps cutting out!)

293.40 for 900 litres on value oils this morning. Has anyone heard of anywhere cheaper? Am not in dire need right now but am afraid of price rises in the near future.
