Cut backs in consumption means that prices will continue to slide. Hurrah!
Seriously, OPEC are curbing production in an attempt to keep oil above 90 dollars a barrel but when they announced the production limits it made no difference to the futures price (i.e. investors/ speculators think that the global recession will lead to a decrease in demand that will more than cancel out OPEC's production cuts.)Stercus accidit0 -
 arrrrgh ran out of oil today!!!
Started ringing round, most places can't deliver before the weekend!! The only place that could guarentee me delivery tomorrow was not the cheapest and can also only deliver a maximum of 200L!!! I'm such a fool, getting ripped off now!
Only hope is the 200L will take us through a couple of months and maybe prices will be down.
Can hardly type my fingers are so cold!!0 -
Get a drum at your local garage to see you through0

We were in similar situation, didn't quite run out but down to the dregs. Getting quite worried as it took a bit of phoning around yesterday (most were quoting delivery early next week) but had 500l delivered by Nicholl Oils http://www.nicholloils.com/ this morning - excellent service and only a couple of pounds more than the cheapest I could find.
Good luck!0 -
See I tried Nicholloils and they told me Fri at the very earliest but probably Sat!!
Ended up getting the 200L from Redon today, £123!!!
Other nice little trick I found from Maxol...they were quoted as one of the cheapest delivering in Belfast, went online to place order, until I got to the stage that asked if you needed a mini tanker or if they needed to come through the house to deliver. £7 extra if you need a mini tanker, £10 extra if they need to come through the house!!!!???
We need delivery through the house but £10 extra would have taken the price way more expensive than loads of others!0 -

TDF in Lisburn are quoted at £227.48 for 500l on Cheapestoil this evening. Almost £10 cheaper than anywhere else around here.0
