    We've used Carlisle alot in the past as they do tend to be the cheapest around and they do also tend to deliver promptly.
    Still havent ordered from anyone yet!!

    Mum was supposed to order 900 litres for me today at £370!! I am afraid to wait any longer in case the prices go up any more! :confused:

    Jo4, my advice would be, if you have enough fuel in your tank to take you into the spring of next year, hold off until then. If you haven't enough fuel buy a small amount and fill up next year. All the banks predict a credit crunch of 2-3 years, oil will continue to fail in relation to GDP. The oil producers like OPEC will try everything to raise the price and spread a wave of panic buying before Christmas, it's in their interest to make more money, so don't be fooled into the idea that oil will rise dramatically in price. It may rise a few pence, but as long as GDP drops, oil will drop.

    So I think the sensible thing to do is to buy the minimum amount 500 litres and wait
  • last week pattersons was £238 for 500l heating oil 28sec, will the prices come down soon again.
  • Maxol direct online price now showing £227 for 500 litres so it looks as if it's coming down a bit.
