Some people do not know the site etiquette yet, or how to search, think back to your early days and be a little forgiving, this is not a clique.
Rant over! Flameproof suit donned. Waiting.................

Wow, way to misinterpret. He wants it posted in the misprice thread as many people don't read this thread any more, as it's descended into a total waste of time, just people hurling abuse at each other, rather than discussing the actual misprices as it used to be.
highguy was being helpful. See the smilie.
i dont think its a total waste of time, its interesting and very helpful, and there is nothing wrong with a good debate!0 -

Wow...
My early days. Lets think. That would be the days when helpful people would post advising me that this wasnt the correct place to be posting - just as I have done. I could have taken the credit for it myself and posted it on the misprices thread, but thought it would be best for the OP to be advised the correct proceedure.
I then even took the time to repost with a link to the misprices thread when asked further.
If you would like to call me Sir, feel free. Also feel free to remove your fireproof suit. My post was intended to help, which I feel it did. And I will continue to post as such.

Spa2k,without doubt some(not all) CS staff have a bad attitude & can be very unhelpfull regarding r&r.In your opinion do you think this is down to their respective managers putting undue pressure on the CS staff in order to restrict the r&rs,i would have thought that if a store had a bad track record on r&rs the managers position would surely be a matter of debate at HQ.0

I can only comment on what I have seen. I have never known for a CS manager to put pressure on staff to not issue R&R.
It really is not for me to comment on what would and would not place the managers position in debate, and i wouldn't publicly do so.
Our current CS manager tells the staff to look from the customers point of view, do they appear to have been overcharged? If so then issue the R&R. The CS manager however will not take any rubbish from aggressive customers.....of which we get our fair share.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
I don't exist, it is merely your imagination.

I have only ever had 2 RR both for pence rather than pounds but I never had to fight my corner, I was just given the RR and a smile. Maybe its not the policy just the staff. We have a ferocious cashier in our local store who everyone is terrified of and so she never has a queue. I have still not recovered from the blasting I got when I told her I have forgotten my chip and pin number!! I'm sure she would be a monster if she was in CS!!Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

Agreed, there is no point in becoming aggressive towards CS in any case it would only prove counter productive.I just think that some store managers are putting pressure on the CS staff in order to safeguard their own position,i can understand why you dont want to comment on "the managers position".Many thanks for your views & the same goes for Tars as well.0

Last Friday night I was food shopping for baby savingsgirl 1st birthday. I decided against visiting my local Tesco and travelling to Asda (supposedly the largest in the uk). Having looked around and picking up a few bits I decided to return my local Tesco where I got loads of stuff on BOGOF and clubcard points too. The point I am trying to make is although I agree Tesco has overcharged on occasion I have not been tempted away - yet!!Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

I've just posted on the misprices thread about a Motorola V171 for which I received R&R from a miserable CS assistant in Whitstable who tried to refund me the difference until I pointed out the board behind her.
My daughter has now just come in with the same phone. Apparently she picked it up scanned it to check the price and then a man came over to her and informed her that they were not priced correctly and she would have to go to CS to receive a refund of the difference. He took her to the electrical dept at the back who said to go to the CS at the front. She was panicking at this point (she's only 18) as she hadn't even paid for it. This man then told CS to refund her the difference and the CS replied that they couldn't do that they would have to refund the entire amount. CS then asked her if she'd paid for it yet, when she said no they sent her to a till and told her to come back to them for a full refund !
I've now got one very happy daughter with her first R&R.0
