It really is not for me to comment on what would and would not place the managers position in debate, and i wouldn't publicly do so.
Our current CS manager tells the staff to look from the customers point of view, do they appear to have been overcharged? If so then issue the R&R. The CS manager however will not take any rubbish from aggressive customers.....of which we get our fair share.
In my experience it depends on the store. One of my "locals" is extremely friendly and offers the R&R straight away. Others don't. It seems Slough is getting a bad rep on these boards (and rightly so IMHO) but I overheard a phone conversation between CS and the manager (although was probably the Duty Manager). CS said "No I've tried offering the difference - he's not having it. Can I offer him the refund now". It seems that the managers know what the policy is (probably because of this board and getting hit all the time) and are trying to get out of it as much as possible. The thing is I wonder how many people accept what the CS/manager say?0 -

One comment that i would make is that there are people who seem to have an overblown view of what this board may or may not be achieving. Nowhere within Tesco have i seen ANY kind of communication pertaining to this board or site for that matter.
Things need to be kept in perspective, this board only has a few more members than actually visit our particular store on a weekly basis.......
This is not disrespecting this board or any members in particular, it is just an observation.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

I'm not so sure - the misprices thread has had over 135,00 views (and this is part two) and this thread has had over 65,000 views. I know that doesn't mean that all 135,000 get R&R's, but that is a lot of exposure.
Two different Tesco store that I have had R&R's from have mentioned this site to me. One was in passing that R&R's are happening more and more as there is a web-site that lists them all. The other store asked if I'd got the misprices off the internet and accused me of being a professional R&Rer.0 -
And is the Motorola phone any good?

Hi all
Opinions wanted please. Tonight i was overcharged on the mobbie, CS got Dept Manager, whom was extremely unpleasant. Basically he said i was 'known within the store' that he believed i was purposely looking for misprices and he then accusd m of trying to 'defraud' tesco's. This was in front of a queue of other customers. I was angry/upset/embarrassed all at once. I did try and stand me ground. I stated quite truthfully that i am fed up being continually overcharged, that i am looking forward to the day they get their act together and i am not overcharged. I also told him it was completely out of order accusing be of defrauding. I asked for a refund, he refused and offered me £10. At this point i asked for the store manager as i was getting very angry (the defrauding bit was getting to me) He disappeared for 20 mins, then returned and said store manager had gone. Again he offered me £10, I again said i wanted refund, he said no, and i said i hadn't even left store and had 28 days to get refund. He then agreed i could have one, I got very annoyed and said i asked for this 20 mins ago!! Took his and managers name and have logged a complaint with Dundee.
I feel very disturbed by all this, and sort of scanky, like i have robbed a bank or something? I think my options are to either start shopping in Sainsbury, or to continue shopping at Tesco and let them overcharge me, or maybe i could send packaging and photocpy of every overcharge to Dundee and let them sort it? I like the last idea best, what do you guys reckon?
