spa2k wrote:that is a matter for you and your conscience. You will have been overcharged if the SEL indicates a lower price than you were charged however it is more of a moral issue as you would full well know the price that you were going to be charged. The majority of people on here would say go for it, and I will neither condemn it or condone it. I will leave the moral high ground for someone else!!
then my conscience is clear cos if i see a misprice now i think of my nanna and grandad (both no longer here) who always shopped at tesco`s and how they were probably overcharged hundreds of times and with just their pension to live on, so i do it for them and i also do it for those customers who are still like i was just a couple of weeks ago unknown to being overcharged,by highlighting it to cs whilst getting an r&r this also stops further overcharges to poor unsuspecting customers and of course its a bit for me aswell as i have shopped in tescos regularly for the last 15 years and never checked my receipt, just trusted them that their prices would be right, how naieve of me!0 -

We've shopped there for 10 years since they opened there. And thats why I do it to. The more excuses I see made on T's behalf then the more I spread the word and want what Martin Lewis calls "CONSUMER REVENGE"....see extreme top of this page on Moneysaving logo.0 -

possibly naieve, possibly not. I have said before that i have no problems with anyone who uses the R&R policy for the genuine reasons that it was put out there for.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Just lending a little support where its needed. In fact it seems to be needed across the site. I hate to see people worse off than I am being fobbed off by CS with the difference....dont you?0 -

ok, final and last word on this, after which i shall simply put you on the ignore list.
Consumer is someone who takes a service from someone else.
I am not a service provider to you and therefore you have nothing to get revenge for. As i have stated before, I am not Tesco, i do not make £2bn per annum nor do i own over 1000 store.
so PLEASE take your personal attacks somewhere else in your obviously small little world and find something better to do.
Thank you.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

You mean you have a problem with those who dont use it for the genuine reasons that it was put out there for. Then I think you've got an awful lot of problems!!!!!!!!!0 -

well it has definately made me more aware of the possibility of being overcharged so that is a good thing, though i feel i need to make up for all the times i did`nt know!! After reading through all the debating i don`t beleive Tesco`s would do it on purpose, though i dont know how long this mispricing has been going on for, but then it all cant be innocent mistakes or can it?? i dont knowAs it does not happen in all stores as bad as some then it is down to the staff doing their job efficiently i suppose, but then it is still up to Tesco`s to train their staff to get it right, but then on the other hand you can sometimes train staff till your blue in the face and they still wont do their job properly! Its human error and maybe a bit of incompetence. maybe!

I dont believe Tesco would do it on purpose eiother. After all for the past year there's been a big sign outside all Tescos saying "thousands of prices reduced each week".
You see I dont understand if prices are coming down as Tesco say they are then HOW CAN THE SEL EVER BE MORE THAN THE TILL PRICE???????????????
In other worsd on the basis of that poster how can T ever possibly overcharge. Maybe I don't understand English.0
