I have also been asked to write my name and postcode on the bottom of a receipt they print off for an r+r.
They never look and I use soap/pop stars names and a made up post code!0 -
I used to work for a supermarket that paid me to check prices against SEL's , overhanging signs etc. in various branches. They were constantly being fined for mispricing and at £2k a throw it was a hell of a lot cheaper to employ me.
I have to say that this training is coming in great for R & R-ing :rotfl: , but even if you managed to walk out with a Dyson you are still saving Mr. T a small fortune, the only difference is they are paying the customer to check the prices for them.
At the end of the day it is illegal to overcharge because of misprices. Tescos can afford to put a system in place to ensure this doesn't happen. When they do stop this policy (which will happen) I for one will reporting every misprice straight to trading standards as being the cynic that I am I can't help but believe they are doing it delibrately.

Funny, I did my shopping at Tesco this morning and couldn't be bothered with obtaining stash today, even though I had seen the mispriced Nintendo DS Space invaders game (SEL £14.97 and till £19.99). However when I got home, I decided that I'd ring the usual lady on refunds and tell her about it. (What a good citizen).
She told me to come back and help myself. So that's exactly what I did. I suppose it is how you treat others could reflect on how you are treated by them.0 -
And by the way, there is no need to give false details to them as they have a computer system which can look up your details at the customer service desk from your clubcard number.0

Thats why on noaccount do you use your CLUBCARD when purchasing RR items.0 -
Last night - couldn't sleep so decided to go for an R+R at Mr T- relax and rummage as i call it!
Found a big basket of finest joints big POS with arrow in pen pointing to them saying £5.19 a kilo - Top rump, sirloin joint etc were mentioned. This was next to the correct big basket of finest joints with another big POS, black arrow pointing downwards stating £6.88 a kilo.
Also same store - british beef rump steak in two places - one lot marked £6.68 the others £6.98 a kilo - both marked special buy - Huge POS at end of aisle with mixed up packs. I bought one of each price - to look "normal". Anyhow of course they didn't go through correctly and i duly headed off to the CS.
CS - have to call the manager. Manager doesn't appear but has told CS to refund the finest joints as they had been put in the wrong place AND the offer was out of date by 5(!) days anyhow. I said what about the staek? I have been overcharged on that too - CS - can't refund that unless manager authorises it. MAnager then comes over and insists that it wasn't an overcharge as the two packs - despite being identical products - are individually priced so no overcharge, However he was happy for me to take a different pack of steak instead which was "bigger" as i wasn't overcharged?!
After 5 minutes of his collegues also looking at him as if he were mad and me trying to explain weight and kilo pricing - i gave up and took his name. Said i'd call head office this morning - have done and the CS bod is also saying i haven't been overcharged despite me asking them to work out what i should have paid and what i have paid - he put me on hold for 10 mins to "find a calculator" then promptly cut me off when i asked to speak to a supervisor. ALL the supervisors/managers are in a meeting at the moment so run amok in the aisles! Cause mayhem and madness as there is no supervision of the peanut-crunchers in TESCO call centre Dundee for the forseeable future  :rolleyes:0 -

I reckon that they take the Clubcard numbers of everybody they have to give a refund to. Then, next time they buy some food, there's a signal embedded into the barcode scanner that genetically modifies it. After a while you begin to believe that Tesco are pretty nice people really and would never dream of asking for a refund as a result of a mistake. Finally, you start posting to MSE saying how great Tesco are compared with Morrissons, Asda, Sainsbury etc.Can I help?0 -

When going through the till with what i know to be an RR, I always suggest to the cashier that she offers the customer behind me the chance to use their clubcard on my RR purchase. It works a treat and the customer waiting is so grateful to me. That would confuse Mr T if ever he investigates!!!0 -
