    SEL is only a guide!!!
WAS told this today by the store manager when getting r&r on Stir fry steak strips(£2 a kilo over) and quick fry steak(50p a kilo over).
He refused to r&r me and accused me of consistently abusing their price promise(not been in that store for a month) and of making his cs staff feel harrassed and pressurised?I only told them i was overcharged before she ran off to get the manager,it's not like i pulled a gun out or anything!
Anyway i asked for a refund for the overcharged items and let them keep em,he then said he did'nt want me in his store getting refunds again,i asked if he was banning me to which he said no,but i was'nt to get more refunds. He said i could contact head office and trading standards if i wanted, which i'll be doing tommorrow.
Has anyone else had this problem or know of the legallities of it?

PS,this thread seems to have a lot of misprices posted as opposed to disscussion of their policy

I think you're in danger of chasing a misprice that nobody else has heard of in a store that doesn't exist ;)
    Can I help?

As the SEL is removed as soon as the misprice is presented to CS this means that everybody over the past 4 days has been ripped off. How many packets would a Tesco xtra sell in 4 days? I would imagine more than the 38 quids worth they gave me.
    .

Yep theres a good chance they sold more than £38 worth. This may come as a surprise though but sadly(for us shareholders) the price on the self edge label isnt the profit the company makes on each sale. The profit is only a TINY amount of the selling price. If you think that even with the extra amount being overcharged that Tesco came away in profit your deluding yourself. If you think these overcharges are done deliberatly by the store then send me your address and I'll mail you your free tin foil hat to stop the mind control rays.

    bleat bleat bleat!

the company made over £2 billion pound profit!, the £50 million (vvvvvv rough guesstimate) that we get back via R&R would make very little differance to ur payouts!. ALso the £250's worth i have got would far out weigh the dividends return

I think you completely missed the point. I was suggesting that the money lost by the company was considerably more than any profit made by the overcharging in the situation we were talking about. Believe me I very much doubt the R&R policy takes any money away from me as a Tesco employee and even if I did I think its a good policy.

I have no problem with people being critical of Tesco especially when things get screwed up. However I find it annoying when people make incorrect claims about stuff. Such as how we would of profited on that sale despite £38 worth of RVR.
