Tesco misprice policy discussion area part III

Yes, that is correct. They are sequential. You could also be charged wrong if they are on sequence 03 yet the labels is sequence 02... you just dont know!0

Got 6 bottles of Jacobs Creek Chardonnay on R&R today. At first CS said I had been given discount, but pointed out to her that this was the 5% on six bottles - which she had no clue about. She then was just about to give me the difference but requested a full refund as per the poster that was behind her!!!! Phonecall to manager and sorted. But it amazes me that this price finished on the 31/01/06, so wonder how many people had been overcharged - plus I don't know if it was good acting but she seemed bemused that I could get a full refund, do the CS's not know their own policy???Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Similar thing happened to me with the Blossom Hill offer ended 7th I purchased on 8th Feb, the csr who dealt with me toddled off to double check offer, said it had expired but straight away told me I would get the bottles free, with now phone calls, no fuss! I guess it really depends upon who serves you! He also mentioned that the price integrity department just arent doing their Job properly! Perhaps it was a newer csr or a checkout girl who was just dumped on csr due to lack of staff that does happen sometimes but then you would expect all staff to be trained on tesco policies when they Join???
Ah well either way its another win for us r+r's, yet not so much for the unsuspecting customers who are getting overcharged....0 -
Remember, next time you get an R&R, don't tell them what you look like! Can I help?0

Addy wrote:Where there are 2 prices like this on the shelf, if you look at the barcodes on the tickets there are 2 very last digits after a slash. I've figured out that these are sequential - so xxxxxxxx/01 will have been printed off the system before xxxxxxxx/02 so it's probable you'll be charged whatever is on xxxxxxxx/02 as it's a newer label.
Not foolproof however, just an indication, it's always possible that the system has been updated a third time with no new label put out.
Excellent tip for a newbie R&Rer like me!
Thanks Addy (I might go back to that Tesco tonight... I'll see as it's a little out of the way... actually I need to go to Sainsburys as they stock the wine my missus likes and Tesco don't)

hokers wrote:Can someone scan Smallville Season 1 boxset for me in a store with a working scanner? Seen one stickered lower than the SEL, want to know whether to go back for it.
How interesting. When I went back (because of game missing) the sticker had been removed. That's less than 3 hours, and I think that's pretty damn good evidence that Tesco are actively reading this.
Time to go underground perhaps?0 -
Just posted on the misprices that I got 8 boxes of Persil Tabs on R&R.
For those people who think it is wrong to get stuck into Mr T.... and I know there are some. The SEL detailing the offer was 4 days out of date with a result that Mr T has been selling these Tabs at 40 p more than he was advertising them. As the SEL is removed as soon as the misprice is presented to CS this means that everybody over the past 4 days has been ripped off. How many packets would a Tesco xtra sell in 4 days? I would imagine more than the 38 quids worth they gave me.
Moral of the story as far as I'm concerned is where possible get as much as you can, there is little sense in an R&R on a single item as the SEL is removed as soon as they are told.0 -
