Tesco misprice policy discussion area part III

Tars wrote:I think you completely missed the point. I was suggesting that the money lost by the company was considerably more than any profit made by the overcharging in the situation we were talking about. Believe me I very much doubt the R&R policy takes any money away from me as a Tesco employee and even if I did I think its a good policy.
I have no problem with people being critical of Tesco especially when things get screwed up. However I find it annoying when people make incorrect claims about stuff. Such as how we would of profited on that sale despite £38 worth of RVR.
but u specifically mentioned urself as a shareholder!, if they did their job correctly in the first place you wouldn't lose ur share of the dividend of the XX amount lost due to R +R's.
Tescos deserve what they get!

Imho i think Tars makes some welcome contributions to this site,he has gone out of his way to help others on here(check back).MR T can easily & almost certainly does look in on here,he doesnt need to take part just lurking will do the job.0

Am a shareholder too but the RR route is much more profitable. We all have to be businessmen like T0

see i was right, my post got deleted!
Tars, if Tescos could make itt that their policy would never be used i wouldn't have a problem with that as it means that they would be efficiant. Also if they are quicker at changing their prices after seeing their mistake on here compared to myself going and taking advantage then fair play! But if i am quicker than them then its only right that i take advantage

You seem to get every possible R&R mentioned, in most cases multiple amounts and your an apparent shareholder. Do you do anything else apart from shop at tesco and buy shares.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
Ok, I have a question. This is the situation, you see a book, its price sticker is lower than its SEL. There are 8 books. You wouldnt have bought this book but because of RR you know you'll get it for free. How many do you take?Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

Tars, I agree with everything you say except the profit margins on items. On an item for example that costs a fiver I cannot see Mr T only making a few pence.
As I mentioned before I am more than happy when I find something is mispriced (and I notice it) because I know I have been overcharged in the past. I still don't check my 'big shop' receipt as it would be too much hassle.
In my defence however I would never take advantage of for example the phone offer recently whereby the the checkout person had to manually knock 20 quid off your bill. Reason being that employee would without doubt get it in the neck.
Seems to be getting a little serious on this thread which is dissapointing as I used to look forward to the banter. Can we all start getting on and at least try to understand the different opinions that are aired.
Finally can I say that I can tell you are a Teso employee TARS because you come across as most of your workmates...........pretty decent.0 -

Thats upto you. Personally i would take 1 possibly 2, why be greedy. Yes its free but hey what the hell. Can you really make use of 20 of the same book. Im sure some posters on here would though.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -

If they are the same book,1 or 2 maybe as a present
Now if it was a food item, probably more
Do you think we're getting greedy?0
