And why not give the proceeds to charity. What about Whiz Kids - Tescos charity of the year.
Where as I totaly approve of tearing strips off Tescos as they are a big corporate giant, if you don't need it, then why just take it unless you can do some good.
Give it also to school PTAs, Oxfam etc

Originally quoted by TarsThe profit is only a TINY amount of the selling price.
If this is so Tars, then how come they can reduce food etc by approx half, (think of the reduced shelf and the big yellow stickers, and also the 70% off clothing sale.) Now why would Tesco sell things for less than they paid for them, as they are losing a sale of a profitable peice of meat etc, everytime someone buys a reduced one.
Hope this makes sense.

I do what I can avoid these people making mistakes (however I dont use this site to gather info!).
Not having a go at you Tars. The above quote. By this do you mean that:
1/ when walking round your store, and you know from this site that, eg, Mars bars are mis-priced,(you would know this, not by deliberately seeking out mis-prices, but your mind cannot filter out all the misprice info it will read on this site), Then you would refrain from getting a member of staff to correct this mistake?
2/ if the above is correct, then you are actively condoning the overcharge that results from this, thereby ripping off lots of customers.
3/ if No1 is incorrect, and you are involved in the removal of the incorrect label/whatever, then you have inadvertantly used this site to gather info. Which you said you don't do.

Another reason that they discount good especially the clothes is any business would rather have 10p for somthing than throw it away and get nothing, its called cutting your losses.
people will buy stuff they dont need if they can get it for very little as they think they are getting a bargain which they are compaired to the previous price if they left everything at the normal prices they would be stuck with them lower the price and most people will buy them. tey do it also to make room for the new stock especially on the clothes.0 -

Good opportunity for MrT to give all those overcharges to charity. Anyone any idea what he and members of the T Board are worth?
It seems that Its up to us RRs to bring him to his senses.
As I said before T has so much money he cant count it.
Dont be put off by this advice. Fill your trollies with RRs.0 -

Got no end of Computer games yesterday. When going through the till I paid cash and told the check out person to use the next persons Clubcard who was waiting behind me. He was so pleased.
So if T is checking clubcards he's going to be getting in touch with a lot of dumfounded customers who wont put up with him accusing them of RRing. These guys will never shop at T's again. So Mr T, you are onto a LOOSER if you follow clubcard up.0 -
I got my first R+R today from mr T's. I read on the missprice board about coke 24's. I got two boxes, checked the price at the scanner. then went through the till.
SEL £6.75
Price on box £6.95
Scan £6.95
I then checked the receipt, wandered over to the CS and played the "innocent shopper card".
She went off to check and came back and proceeded with the transaction to R+R.
She appolgised and "logged it" onto the system.

Heh thanks for the last bit. Its alittle to easy to take disagreements as personal attacks some times
The key thing here is I don't work in a store. I actually don't read the latest updates on the missprice thread deliberatly to avoid a conflict of interest. I hang around here because I find the discussion interesting and if I can help dispel some myths or incorrect info then so much the better. If I discovered a hole in our systems that was causing missprices or found an exploit that people were using to cheat the company then I would probably act on it (there was a guy I think on these boards knowingly abusing the Self scan tills to get alot more money off that he should be... I mean stuff like that).
Hmm kinda got off track there.. hope that kind of explains things.. work calls!0
