The store should honnor the warrenty, did it work and gone faulty or was it faulty out of the box? not that it matters the store should either replace it is was faulty from the start or within 28 days if it went faulty they should arrange a repair or a replacement. the fact you received it free doesnt matter. you had paid for it and they gave you the refund if you hadnt gone for the refund what would they have done then?0

Been in to my local store and picked up a Sony hi-fi.
One big sticker that says £69.92. To the left of that, about an inch or so away is a smaller sticker also says £69.92. About an inch to the right of the BIG sticker is another small one that says Sony Hi-fi £59.92. Next to that is a big sticker saying Goodmans stereo £69.92. Are you following?!
Took it through the till, it scanned at £69.92. Took it straight to Customer Services and a very nice lady came with me and agreed that the £59.92 had the same barcode and description as the hi-fi in my trolley.
Electrical manager comes along and says that whilst the small £59.92 sticker is giving the wrong information on the Sony stereo, it is actually in the wrong place, that space SHOULD be taken up by a smaller one for the Goodmans stereo.
He said he couldn't let me have the Sony for £59.92 as it was correctly being shown as £69.92 by both the big sticker and the smaller one to the left of that. He would however, let me have the Goodmans at £59.92!!
Asked him if I could take the £59.92 sticker away and he said no - so I took a photo on my phone!
I stood my ground for a while as I believed this to be incorrect and that under their policy, I am due a full refund and get to keep the stereo.
Came home and called Head Office and after a few calls, they have taken the side of the store. They have said that as a goodwill gesture, they will refund me the £10 difference but as two stickers directly under the item were showing at £69.92 I have not been overcharged.
The sticker showing £59.92 was no more than 2 inches away from the stereo!
Can someone confirm that I am right - I really dont want to back down on this now as a matter of principle!

You should have been charged the £59.92.
It says sony hifi and its the same barcode so its not your fault that its in the wrong place ....! or is it in the wrong place.... if its the same barcode its obviously in the right place!
If there are two advertised prices, they are legally obliged to charge the lower of the two.
You are in the right, they are in the wrong.0 -

I had a dispute similar to this recently over XBox games. i drew up a letter to Tesco Head office and included a photocopy of my receipt and a CD with photo and video evidence on. I also sent a copy of the letter/photocopy/CD to Trading Standards, with a cover letter.
Seeing as you have already contacted Tesco, move straight onto the second phase, and contact trading standards. Make sure you include details of your conversation with HO, as well as full details as to what your complaint is.
You have most deftinitely been overcharged, and are entitled to a refund as per Tesco's own policy.
Hope that helpsMonthly Food Budget: out of the window0 -

Tracey B,
Definitely an overcharge.
This item as well as the Technica DC05 have gone up in price and they have cocked up by not removing the old price! If 2 prices are displayed for the same product then the lower MUST be charged! To say that the label applied to a Goodmans was a damn right lie and was only to try and get out of a full R & R.
I am still arguing the 5 Xbox games refund with one of my local stores for nearly £200. I'm 100% confident!
Awaiting a phone call tomorrow.
Got loads of CD's, 2 DVD's, Stereos and Coca Cola this week!
About £280 worth in all!
"Hit" one store 2 nights running with the Coke!
A good week.
Every little helps.Keep SmilingSite member number 24

scotsgirl wrote:This is on BOGOF at the moment, at £2.08 per bottle (Johnsons baby lotion). Charged £3.18 at the till, BOGOF gave a refund of £3.19.
There are other items in the Johnson baby range also on BOGOF - misprice may apply to them as well.
Copied over from misprice thread.
I just have to ask, what do you use this stuff for????!!!!
My friends and I were all debating the other day the fact that we've never used baby lotion on our kids and the only useful thing we've found for it is to pass onto pregnant people who don't know that you don't use it on your babby!
Sorry to be off topic, but we need to know!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Isnt it so you get a good nights sleep?0 -
Regarding the coffee makers, as I originally posted this.
Yes you are right, it was the Senseo I meant, not the Tassimo, obviously wasn't paying much attention at the time.
They were priced at 47.41 and 47.42 on SEL, has anyone checked to see what they scan at?0 -
