Got my first intentional R&R today thanks to the forums :D (I previously got one on McCain chips on a bogof no on the system before I was actively reading on here) - I went to the Tesco Extra (Glasgow Springburn) 15 mins drive away which I wouldn't normally go to as there are 2 closer Tescos (that's pretty scary!) and I searched for the wine, dyson, tassimo/ senseo, sony mini system all to no avail, but managed to find some lamb shoulder where the SEL price/kg was lower than the pack price.... bought one then went through checkouts and to CS.... woman pointed out "You were charged what it said on the pack" but I said the SEL was cheaper and "I thought the discount might come off at the checkout" LOL! She ummed and aah'd and eventually got the SEL from the section and stapled it to some form of refund voucher "to report it" or something!

Got my money refunded back though, so I was happy, free lamb for Sunday dinner!

    Thanks guys!

  • Teco Formby had White's Lemonade on offer for 29p.

    Wife was charged 85p.

The shop only refunded the difference though, 56p, despite me telling her that she should have got the full 85p back.
  • I've been following the thread closely but never find anything :( All the cheese and meat were correctly priced, except for two cases where the lower price was on the pack and was the scanning price (checked on price checker scanner) so no luck.

How do the CD misprices work then? I couldn't quite work that one out when standing by the shelf earlier today :o

usually, Mr. T prints prices next to selected titles on the chart poster. lately, he hasn't been doing tho. anyway, if the price on the poster doesnt match the SEL, it will prob be a misprice.

also, with the current 20% off, some items don't take the discount off at the till and/or are over the SEL price to begin with, andd therefore ends up higher price than it should be.

    Thanks for that

Does the same apply to games too? I tried to find the Sony Hifi and PS2 slim but my local tesco, although massive, doesn't have many electrical items :o

  • Why didnt I think of this before?
Those big yellow SEL's boasting price reductions - always read the tiny print .."offer ends....suchnsuch a date" at the bottom on them.
If the date has passed - winner!!!! Product will scan higher as programmed to do so.
Today got 6 bottles of Jacobs Creek shiraz cabernet r+r to wash down my r+r roast beef with, with such a date expired SEL (31 Jan)
These are local mistakes, just have to keep eyes peeled.
Hmm.....lots of the current "offer ends..." are dated 28/2/06.
Note in diary - 1st March -must go to Tescos!!!!
    Cheers!

Sad shop day today. No bargains or R+R and jumped up ******* picked through my coupons and would only take ones for things I'd bought.
  • What surprises me about the CS staff is the ones who are unpleasant or make it difficult for people - anyone would think it was their money. The individulas who are pleasant, smile etc and give R&R without any probs realise it is not their money and hence perform the task they are paid for pleasantly. The TESCO stores near me are always on the ball and don'y even have large posters up.

Are you sure, I just wondered if they'd given me a faulted one because the girl said if there's anything wrng with this, you wont get your money back twice you know.

I said if she hadnt gone for the refund the store would still give a refund should the item go faulty and couldnt repair or replace it.

I wouldnt expect my money back twice but I would expect a working product, I think that is one of the statutory rights

anyone know what the statutory rights are or where I can find them
