    SNIPITY SNIP...

Can someone confirm that I am right - I really dont want to back down on this now as a matter of principle!

    What would you do next?

    Dude,

    1. Did you use a clubcard?

    2. Are you a regular R&Rer?

No - you're in the clear.

It seems that regular R&Rers who use clubcards can be idenitified by the barcode on receipts.

    Hope you get some joy,

  • If a product scans wrongly in one store, would it be wrong across all UK stores?
Also, how long would it take them to change to the correct price - overnight download on the computer or instantly?

I wondered if anyone knows the answer to this, I usually don't use my clubcard if I expect to get a refund, I also add any points from discarded recipts onto my clubcard to disguise my own spending habits.
But...if you buy something and haven't used your clubcard, then get a refund, then take your receipt to have the points added, will details of the refund be on the clubcard information?
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

the fact you received it free doesnt matter. you had paid for it and they gave you the refund if you hadnt gone for the refund what would they have done then?

Are you sure, I just wondered if they'd given me a faulted one because the girl said if there's anything wrng with this, you wont get your money back twice you know.

    Hi

Does this price policy work online aswell because as I was searching for a Tassimo machine, two of the same appeared but both at different prices - £89.99 and £99.99. The 89.99 one is out of stock (suprise suprise) but the £99.97 one is in stock - maybe this is an overcharge!

    Have a look here

I had a look as someone previously on this thred was on about a Tassimo machine for Forty something pounds and I was a little shocked as I paid £89.99 over xmas and thought it a bit strange that they were this cheap. Maybe they meant the Senseo?

    Thanks

    Netty

As you select the item to add to your basket based on price, availability, etc, then unless you are charged a different price to what you put in your basket you don't have a case.

Shops dont tend to keep faulty sealed Xboxs lying around ... lol
  • Just done my first R and R!
Richard Ashcroft CD - SEL said 9.97, Chart Poster said 8.97 (In a little blue bubble).
McFly CD - SEL said 5.97, Chart Poster said 4.97 (in little blue bubble)
CS argued first that this was due to 20% off - I said it wasn't as the figures didn't add up. She then fetched the SEL label - I then took her to see the poster - instant R and R without asking!!
She then proceded 1 minute later to take down the poster (which was dated 28th Jan)

    Yes!!!!

How many of you have got the Technica DVD player R and R?? Thinking of getting this tomorrow if I can.

Its extremely unlikely the the same product will be incorrect from one store to another. (This is the short version lol) When prices change in a store the label is produced in the same store for the staff to put out. Problems can occur with price changes not reaching the tills and shelf edge labels not being printed or not put out. However each of these problems only affect one store.

I guess a problem could occur if an incorrect poster was sent to all stores but even then the staff in the store should check and they are normally pretty good about it (however when you have 1500+ sites someone somewhere will get it wrong)

Okies while I'm writing this the answer gets more and more complex. Bottom line is its possible but extremely unlikely. Generally the fix would be very rapid (depends on the nature of the problem).
