bear1 wrote:i went into my tesco today and found a special double edition nemo dvd with a red sticker on at 9.97 and the sel had 14.48! Then i found some rump steak that had a higher price per kg on the packet than on the special yellow sel, this was a clear overcharge but as today was my first time on r&r i only took two packs, still i got 23.53 of product for free! the cs assistant was not happy giving the refunds but i said i could have took advantage and had 10 packets of rump steak!! i`m so pleased i found this site.
I'm pretty sure you will find that the manager is allowed by the policy to limit the number of items you take if he/she chooses. This is to stop people clearing the shelves when you do find something.0 -

got a vacuum cleaner 2day,got the refund and the product after pointing out the policy.the cs lady wasnt very happy, its like she was going to pay me the refund out of her wages.anyway she didnt give me the receipt in the end saying that you dont get the receipt coz you got it free.also she asked me for my name and address.is this the correct procedure?i dont think so.please can someone post the head office freephone number.
by the way the vacuum cleaner model was "cylinder vacuum cleaner vc404". 2 sel's £29.93 & £27.97,got charged £29.93.

Although its technically electrical I would go for the 0845 7225533 number as I suspect they will be more switched on (no pun intended) about R & R type policy stuff.0 -

I've seen alot of comments along these lines lately. Every refund / retain that takes place affects EVERY member of staff's wages, as well as the share price, and ultimately the dividend that tesco pay to each and every shareholder, so i am sure that a few of you are indirectly affecting the payout you recieve each year as shareholders!!

you are correct, they do not have the right to obtain your name and address, if they insist you certainly do not have to give it. They usually ask for your details in this circumstance so they can see if you are doing this regularly.0 -
Yes I own 300 shares in Tesco. I have already had £500 in RRs spread over a month.
Please dont tell me that I would be better off going without the RRs and hoping for an equivalent share price rise. What do you take us all for on this board????
If you have this axe to grind then surely you should be putting your energies into advising mr T to change his policy on RRs instead of wasting your precious leisure time here.
Food for thought dont you think??0 -
When CS hand you pen and paper to scribble your name and address then just palm them off with anything.0

I cant argue with that Spa2k,but equally the overcharges that go through un-noticed by unsuspecting customers(eg:cds stickered@£5.97-scans@£6.97 etc) must also effect the payouts to shareholders.0 -

Roberrt5686, you seem very angry over something as both I and Rebbecaj can now testify to.
I have no axe to grind, i was simply trying to show why the aforementioned member of staff may have had a look like she was paying for the R&R from her wages - in a way she is!
Congratulations on your £500 R&R's in a month.... I'm absolutely certain that you need and find a use for every item that you have had.
You have interpreted my post and twisted what I was saying in a way that is extremely insulting, I was in no way denigrating the intelligence of anyone on this board, and the fact that you took it that way says something about how your mind appears to work.
BTW, I dont want the policy to change, and actually i dont consider this a waste of time.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
