Prices fluctuate between stores anyway - although Tesco say that they don't this is an untruth - Hovis Grannary Bread in Yarmouth is £.79 and Caister (3 miles away) it's £.72.
Hmmm...you're the one who frequents my locals!!! Which stores have you had trouble with, OF?
Prices do differ from store to store. For example, the Tecknika 2005 dvd recorder is £59 in Bury St. Edmunds and £69 in Yarmouth. Harford Bridge store (Ipswich Road, Norwich) is going through a major refit right now, by the way. Lots of suits about in there. Not sure if it will make a difference to the store's PI team, though. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Last time I mentioned an undercharge - a multibuy deducting more than it should have - it was dismissed as a system error and not something they could do anything about.
So, given they can't do anything about it and are most unlikely to take extra money off you, what would even be the point of reporting an undercharge0 -
Ive also reported several undercharges, Mostly PS2 games and xbox games when ive been trying to look for R&Rs. Was told "Oh well arnt you lucky".Watch out, you never know who is about.0

No R+R for me on MOH ps2 game (poster said TOP 20 = £30 yet paid £39.99) Duty manager said that she had decided that the policy was not enforce today!
can she do this? she said they knew about this scam so she was not going to refund me.
even if it came out that i knew that i was going to be overcharged and was doing it for the R + R does it mean that i am excluded from the policy?
Could I go into Tesco and pick up all the mis-priced items and get R+R on them all? can could they refuse to serve me?
CS is going to ring me back within the hour, I just wanted to know where I stand?
Many thanks for any advice
P.S yes i know some people will call me scum but after shopping at Tesco for over 15 years now never questioning the price i've been charged, even once. I wonder how much ive been overcharged all this time?0 -

ps your not scum just a customer who has been ripped of yet again0 -
They can refuse to serve you, at any time.
However if you have already brought the game asit appears you have then you should recive the R&R. Its thier policy which is there to be used. They are abusing it, not you.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
Thanks for the comments guys/gals
just got of the phone to CS Result!!!
got to go back to the store and get my R+R. Im to call the manager down and he will sort it, i think it would be a perfect opportunity to mention to him that although i have never done so before in my many years shopping at the store, due to this issue i will be checking all products that i buy to make sure i have not been overcharged (this will be the reason why they will see me spending more time at the CS desk than on the shop floor)lordexavier_the_2nd wrote:However if you have already brought the game asit appears you have then you should recive the R&R.
So your saying i don’t even need to buy the item? Just pick it up and mosey on down to CS helpdesk saying, “this is priced wrong! i want it free!”? Hmmm would they not get out of that with the fact that i haven't been overcharged, as I have not yet bought it?
Many thanks for this great topic on Tesco, you guys have helped me so much.0 -

I wanted to buy The Editors album, which you can read beneath the sticker on their poster to see should be £6.97. The scanner said £9.97. So - whoever decides their promotions wishes to offer this at £6.97. Because the store is too lazy to get their prices right, they tippex them out and overcharge.
I was trying to take advantage of a legitimater offer that they purport to have on, and could not.
I would say they are doing something wrong, and why exactly am I sad?0 -

i said that to the cs manager at my local store after i had an arguement with cs lady. she said quite right too!!!
so i do, and have returned on 3 occasions to get r+r and treat me very politely!!!:snow_laug :j0 -
letsgobilliejoe wrote:no, if the barcodes on both the product and the SEL match (bar the last 2 digits), then the price scanned will more than likely be the price displayed on the SEL.
therefore, if a lower price is displayed elsewhere, you sre on to a winner!!!
Sorry I think I'm having one of those days. What happens if the bar code and SEL doesn't match? Does this mean the prices will be different. I know the different parts of the bar code were discussed months ago and someone very kindly took a photo to explain where to find the product code etc but I wasn't aware the price was on there as well ( or am I missing something?).
Has anyone else noticed a lot of the bacon and cheese are coming into store without a price on. For eg I bought some bacon last night that had a SEL for £1.75 and a pkt price of £1.89, tesco rindless back bacon. Which went through at £1.75, but lots of the newer stock had no prices on at all which will allow Tesco to move the price up of down as they choose without worring about the prices on the packaging. R&R will still happen but will be a lot easier to spot.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0
