I'll be ringing head office tomorrow and putting a complaint in writing. But it really has put me off ever stepping foot in another tescos even though they make a small fortune out of me everyweek.
I rung up to try and find out who the manager is and he isnt even on duty this week just deputys.Girl didnt want to give info out over phone.
Dont be put off. Make it your mission to go there and get as many R&Rs as possible. Do your main shopping else where but keep going back for the R&Rs. Be the most annoying shopper they have.Watch out, you never know who is about.0 -
i agree. i had a big bust up with cs woman a couple of weeks ago. complained to head office. they sorted it all out. now when i get an r+r they dont even argue it, they just give me the refund very politely, even for the £230 camcorder i got last week!!!! so dont be put off, it might work in your favour and next time you go in you might be treated like royalty, as long as it s not in fdj100 store!!!!!:snow_laug :j0

Scared of seeing my face on crimewatch uk now.....least thats now how I feel.Worry I'll end up getting banned for complaining. It wasnt my nearest store but is biggest under 10 mins drive away.My face was so red and i was so upset when I came out, still trying to calm down and get some tea down me only 2 hours later than I had hoped.Very stressed by whole experience.Would love to become their most annoying customer but there i feel would be in same situation every time.Wish i could name store on here so everyone could make a point of being annoying that goes there but then i could end up liable for slander.0

Lets have the store's name. If its near me I'll go and annoy them. Our messages just crossed in the post. Bit out of the way from me. Over here where all there is to be had is a handful of meat. Not real meat either ...just what I term junk food. Still looking for the electricals from Mr T0

This is not illegal, nor does it fall within the realms of their policy. If you can buy something cheaper elsewhere, that's fine - buy it elsewhere, it's your choice as a consumer.
Could be due to what Tescos, Sainsburys and Somerfield do which I have feeling is called price flexing. They price it at what they think the market will pay.
Asda and Morrisons are only ones who are suppose to price there goods the same from one end of the country to the other.
I for one do rarely spend any money with Mr T's as they are becoming to big and powerful.
Even the R+R policy does not reel me in to spend money with them.
I personally would rather not give him any money. Better get husband to change his car insurance.

As a long time Tesco employee I will admit to being pretty embarrassed about this. It sounds like this person really doesn't deserve their job. Sadly as a company I'm afraid we are like any others and there occasionally people doing jobs they shouldn't be and don't deserve. Although I'm limited in what I can do if you can email or message me (I only signed up to the forums today so not sure how it all works) I will happily get the store managers name for you. The best course of action though is the one you already mentioned in contacting the customer service guys at head office. I've had dealings with them quite afew times (I don't work in a store) and they do take customer complaints very seriously.0 -

Have you taken your medicine today, I love coming to this site ans seeing the comments that are made about scanners, staff etc . Yes I am a member of the company. LOL keep trying those scanners people, Longton extras scannerds are the next to be switched off, I must look at next weeks roat and see when my store is due to have the scanners switched off.LOL
I see that's why you work in Tesco's - you can't spell. I don't believe in people taking the mickey out of this but have you not seen the news, the profits Tesco's make and they still don't pass that on to staff (can't be that rich if your on this website). If I was you I would pass these issues on to management, what people are showing on this site is how Tesco's are ripping people off and misleading the general public. I personally have never done this but the amount of times I have come across rude staff with major chips on their shoulders trying to grab cheap bargins for themselves while shopping in Tescos.0
