I accept all that you say Wig. Its the suppliers I do not trust. I saw an advert two weeks ago for organic Plaice. (Pleuronectes Platessa)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Thank you thankersspaceage wrote:Could there be other intelligent life on this forum? :rotfl:

'Other' implies there is some intelligent life here already, a debatable point.0 -

and that you are an eejit :rotfl:
Firstly the original posting doesn't say that the packet says "Suitable for Home Freezing", rather the words used were 'Place in a suitable container before freezing'...there is a clear difference (which may be lost on some people).
Secondly, 'take your oil, whydontye!',

I read an article in a national paper at the end of last year on how they get organic eggs. Apparently you feed an ordinary chicken on a mix of 80% organic feed and 20% of anything for six weeks and on the first morning of the seventh week it lays organic eggs. Is it the same for cows.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
OK, I am a sad person .. last night there was a strange bulk seen hovering about the milk department in our local Tescos. This hydrogenated mass was seen to be lifting plastic and cardboard cartons and all he could see was text saying 'do not freeze'.
Do you think it would help if you put the entire cow in the freezer?

Hmmm I see I'm going to have to visit the milk counter this weekend.0 -

All fish caught (not farmed) from the sea are by default organic.
Being unable to find a firm definition of Organic and once being offered "Engish Oranges" while abroad I need a bit of convincing as to some of these claims.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

My, I think I best pop out and get myself a life. BRB.
Yes, you go get yourself a life , while the more switched on Moneysavers discuss the various aspects of Organic foods and the potential health concerns of plastic packaging used for liquids. If you don't want to take part in the discussion, then please, don't bother to post, because in reality, what has your post actually contributed to this discussion?
Just leave the educated and concerned individuals to discuss this among themselves. If you find it offensive or 'boring', there is no obligation for you to read this thread.BFG wrote:Firstly the original posting doesn't say that the packet says "Suitable for Home Freezing", rather the words used were 'Place in a suitable container before freezing'...there is a clear difference (which may be lost on some people).

Mmmm, yes. Some people would be lost on such a complicated string of words (see previous quote above for example of such a person). Personally, by reading "Place in suitable container before freezing", I deduce that it is suitable for freezing as they have said 'before freezing'.
Ivan, did you know that in rural states in the USA there are some people who actually do purchase an entire cow (for around $400) and store it in a massive freezer (sliced up of course)? They then feast on steaks every other day. It's in the farming communities such as South Dakota where this practice is most common. I know this is irrelevant to the discussion, but it's something you would appreciate, with your wacky but very rational ideas.(I wonder if the cow would leak on defrosting??
:rotfl: )
Oh, what do you mean by 'take your oil, whydontye!', and what does HANWE stand for?0
