I'd rather be able to run London than be out with a broken wrist or ankle so I'm not going to risk it today as much as I want to go for a run :D

Just how I feel, actually...would love to run today, but don't wanna risk slipping over someplace...Well up for a run today, too, as I'm not playing footy :(

Oxford way...Or "no snow land" as it will be called henceforth...
  • Hi everyone, just had to come back with an update.

After posting on here earlier it stopped snowing and the sun came out so I decided to walk one of my planned routes. I've just got back and have completed 5.54 miles in 1 hour 25. :j :j

It was definitely too slippery in places for running but I am just sooooooo pleased to have got away from the treadie. It felt really good walking round and I'm sure that if I took it slowly I could run this route reasonably comfortably.

It was cold and the sleet stung my face but I really enjoyed it and can't wait to get back out. :D

    Well done Simply!

Thats not hanging about either. My 6 mile walks were in the region of 1-50 so you've got some fast walking shoes there!:D :D

  • Thanks Rich, I think the fact that it was quite cold made me move faster, well that and the sleet and snow.

It was quite a useful exercise as I now know where there are pavements, as well as where there aren't, which parts are slightly uphill and where the best scenery is. The boatyards and sea views are quite nice.

Anyway, I'm off to refuel as I am quite peckish - no talk of bodily functions now please chaps. :rotfl:

  • Hi All,

I thought I would pop my head in and say hello. I've had a busy old week! Last weds, I went down to Swansea to visit my boyfriend. Woke up on Thursday with a horrible pain in my eye. Ended up in A & E where they diagnosed a scratched eyeball! It felt like I had glass in my eye! They put a contact lens in on Friday and I had it taken out today. Thankfully everything has healed nicely.

I have missed my walk for the plan today, but will resume proceedings on Thursday!

I've caught up with the thread (again) and glad to see you are all ok.

    Bex,

That sounds a little scary, but glad everything seems to be healing okay!

I thought boyfriends usually caused a pain in the ar-$e though, not the eye!:p
