HEAVY LEGS....need sleep!
Not sure how far I went this morning stupid garmin ran out of battery  Guessing it was around 5 miles so I might go out again later tonight if I can muster the energy.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Dont worry Sally - the heavy legs is from the increase in mileage you've been putting in recently - 34 miles last week is a massive step up from an average of around 10 per week in the previous 3 months. Your body is telling you to take a rest today - and you've still managed to run 5 miles
I was the same today - there's no point pushing when you feel like that - you'll only store up tiredness for later (when you dont want it).
You're doing fantastically with the new plan by the way - is it easier for you to get on with??
Annoying about the Garmin though - is it easy to use at least??0 -

Yeah I know its down to the increase but actually I have been doing average of 20 ish a week so its not so much of a jump. Guess its the doing it week after week of 30+ miles thats starting to catch up. Am loving it though and the mileage I am at at the moment is just fine (and could go longer on long runs so thats good) plus am also getting in extra runs on Monday with run club which wasn't in the plan originally. All good, and looking forward to April
Garmin is great, although I thought having 75% battery would have lasted me today but maybe it just needed a proper charge which I hadn't doneI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sorry I missed the 20:o
I've jumped 10 miles between the last two weeks and I am definitely feeling it today too!
Its good you're enjoying it again - especially the long runs - they really are for me like the treat at the end of week after all the speedwork and working week stress
April is ages away anyway - I'm more worried about my half in 3.5 weeks :eek:
Thats good - I guess its like a phone and needs a once 'full charge' or something...
Are you up for a post April party (weather permitting) as well??0 -

That's good news, Sally, about averaging 20 miles per week because I was a little concerned for you in terms of how the increased mileage would affect your legs.I keep a log against the training plans when runs are posted to get a rough idea how things are going and I only had 83 miles logged over 11 weeks so was a bit concerned that you might have increased too quickly. You've obviously done runs that I've missed somewhere along the way.Glad you're enjoying it anyway and handling the increase pretty well!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Sally - thats some good running getting in that many miles during a week, you most be over the moon about it. Youll easily breeze up to 50 miles a week.
Becks - im sure that you will be absolutly fine for yor 1/2 marathon. Youve been running really well just remeber to enjoy the race as you have put so much effort in to be able to run the distance( remember consentrate on running and not other male runners LOL):rotfl:Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -

You'll never find Becky entering women's only races!;)

Nah dont want to try too hard and get all sweaty and gross do I - best plan find a good one in the middle of the field and tag on him - use him for drafting purposes then overtake 1 mile from the finish
Edit: oh wait this is why I'm not tired at the end of races...oppppsss maybe I've got something wrong there - I wont be a paula at this rate eh?0
