Evening All
I've finally got round to downloading the photos that my OH took at the Netley 10K (I know, I'm slow) so thought that I would post a couple and share the scenery with you - I'm no. 497 by the way.
Lovely sea views at the finish!!!

RC members seemed to want to up the pace tonight... which is where i dug it out from.... aint up loaded the data from my garmin.... but each time i looked it was somewhere between the 6.50 - 7.20 pace mark..... but was very red and very soggy
...and was happy to be running home at a more sensible 8.40- 9.00 ish pace

Well if you can handle sessions like that it would appear that your 1/2 marathon time is likely to undergo some serious revision the next time the opportunity arises.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

With a little bit of searching (for instance adding 2009 because it often brings up previous years races) I can usually find the right webpage to access more information and the entry form.I'm a RW subscriber, so if you need me to look at anything for you let me know and I can PM you the details if you like
Went to the gym today, first day of exercise since my half. Did a tentative 10 mins on the treadmill, my foot was still hurting (I think my laces were too tight and I've bruised the top of my foot  ) can't wait to get back to pacing those pavements

ok its KYCU catchup time. I ran the furthest ever on wed that being 10.67k in 1hr 20 ( I had to stop, nothing left in the legs for the final hill upto gf's house). not a good time i know but it was all hills and about 3k of very rough jagged cobble 'road'. That will teach me to scout runs out in future!:o. I also picked up my new super duper sunglasses yesterday so im looking forward to being able to run without squinting (i wear prescription glasses). So this week i have run 21k or so and done 2x40min cross train sessions (DVD). I think its time to start upping my milage more and cutting down on rest days
. Oh and i put a pound on this week  all that wine and food at the weekend im guessing;)
As for that race for life milarky well all they do discriminating like that is help me keep my money in my pocket because I am sure I would have been running it with the oh and plenty blokes would do to and i certainly would not donate to such a discrimitory organisation.
x_raphael_xx You have to allow for your feet to swell as they do when you run. I learnt that lesson quick too :rotfl::staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -
Well done on your 10.67K KYCU; isn't it great when you achieve a new distance? :T When I first started out I scouted all my routes by walking them first but now I take the 'adventurous' approach like you, I especially like running in new places as it makes the runs more interesting.
Good luck with your super duper new sunglasses; I always wear sunnies if it's the slightest bit bright out. I've got enough wrinkles as it is without adding to them by squinting!!! :rotfl::cool: :rotfl:
