I would suggest Lytham or St Annes as better options to stay over than either Blackpool or Fleetwood. If you think Blackpool is rough, you ain't been to Fleetwood!

Oh yeah I'm getting confused with Freckleton again :D:D, that was pretty :D

    Ok Becky :D

I'll research the accommodation this evening. I'd like to put faces to names and say my 'goodbye, lovely to meet you' at the start line because I just know I'll finish at least an hour and a half behind you both :rotfl:

Not behind me you wont :D, and I finish an hour and 15 behind Rich so you might just be that behind him :D

Oh Lord and I thought London was bad enough. Will I need a bodyguard or two (Becky/Rich?) :rotfl:

15 mins behind you unless, by a great miracle, there's a very strong tailwind!

Its not a bad photo at all scorgeous. I think you look lovely. I didn't picture you as being blonde. I imagined you to be a brunette.

It's out of a bottle my lovely. I am normally a medium brown but I always have my blonde highlights put in for the summer :D

I was going to say - I cant ever recall ANYBODY EVER staying in Fleetwood!:p

Its just a little fishing port...or at least was!

Its actually the Wyre Festival of Running consisting of a 10K on the Saturday and the Marathon plus 1/2 Marathon combined on the Sunday - its a format that Ron McAndrew seems to like and does have a lot of merit.

As for warmth, Poorbabe, the Fylde coast is not really renowned for it. Except, of course, on the one day that I decided to run a marathon on 5th April!

PS I thought Ron McAndrew just arranged a few races in the North West, but he is actually the England XC Team Manager and former world record holder for the 2000m Steeplechase. Amazing what snippets of info you can find!:p
    Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
    Blackpool Marathon 11/4/2010 (Target=2:59:59) (6:52/mile)
    Abingdon Marathon 17/10/2010, (Target=2:48:57) (6:27/mile)

That thing that looked like a big clock after a couple of minutes of running is called Ben. (or before Becky gets pedantic, its bells are!:p) and that big house in front of you at the finish is where a little old woman lives with her disfunctional family.

You should also have seen a wheel she had built for her giant hamster on the other side of the river and a building shaped like an unpopular vegetable near the turnaround point.

Just before the finish you'll have run under Prezza's former grace and favour flat and just before that a phallic looking thing in a square which is no longer covered in pigeon poo.

I can't believe I actually ran down embankment and never noticed the bloody huge wheel on the other side of me. DOH
