Well done ukevas - that is a fab run, and you deserve a slobbing in front of the TV day for sure now!
I have just done 4 miles - 40:17 so not bad at all for my first attempt (apart from the RFL last week) at getting back into the swing of things. I was pleased with it because:- it was the first run since the marathon that I have "chosen" to do, so proves I WANT to do it.
- It was hot and windy out there, and so if I can run 10 min miles in that sort of condition now, there is hope that I can do better with a little work over the summer.
- Even though I was tired, I still went out there and did it without making too much fuss

Keep it going, Chick, 2:25 into the race - hope its all going well so far!:D:D
Nice work, Uk. So that must be 65 miles ish this week - very impressive. Whats the most you've done before?
Those 800m intervals weren't hanging about either so you seem to be responding well to the mileage.
Good luck to everyone planning runs today.:D
PS Just noticed the time for that 15 miler. Sub 2 hours!!!! Wow, thats some going - 20 minutes faster than last week. No wonder you need to pass out!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hi all, I've been in 2 minds whether to go for a run today as legs were aching yesterday from Fridays mileage 'uplift'! But after reading about peoples efforts on here, coupled with the fact that it's only 16 weeks to the Great North Run and the fact my OH is doing 22 miles today on the treadmill in preparation for the Edinburgh marathon in 2 weeks I'm going to get my backside into gear and go to the gym today too!Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0

Very well done Chick. Conditions were pretty warm by the sounds so must have been pretty demanding.:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
