    Week2 (Abingdon)
    Mon27/4 Rest Day
    Tues28/4 Rest Day
    Weds29/4 14.0 Miles 1:49:14 (7:48/mile) (Pulse108)
    Thurs30/4 10.0 Miles Fartlek 1:15:39 (7:34/mile) (Pulse 100)

The plan today was to do a 40x200 interval session but it became impractical to do it as planned. So the next best option was employed....a 10 mile fartlek with the middle 6 miles used for a series of hard 45 second efforts.

It felt good especially considering last night's run so I can safely say that the marathon is now out of the legs.:D:D:D

For the entry fee of €11,900, Polar Running Adventures will provide athletes with accommodation in Spitsbergen on April 5th; return flights from Spitsbergen to the North Pole camp; accommodation while at the Pole from April 6th to 8th; entry to the official North Pole Marathon; helicopter flights in the polar region; t-shirts, medals and souvenirs; professional photos of each competitor in action; a DVD of the race; and hotel accommodation on April 8th on return from the Pole.

Hello. Haven't been well for the last few days but went out for a 1.5 mile walk followed by a half mile run. It felt good. A little niggle in the shin but not as bad as other days. The 1.5 mile walk must of warmed up the legs.
I believe that the London Marathon places should be best for age. However, some of the charity runners were quite fit despite the time taken especially those in elaborate costumes.

Not long booked a wk away in Majorca All Inclusive - £558 for 2adults, 1kid, 1infant.
