Having said that, I quite fancied the idea of the half as a last attempt at a sub 1:15 before the end of the year.....until I noticed that that means placing in the top 5 of 7700 runners.:p

Well done Kay, but I'm confused(but dont worry I'm easily confused:p)....was the North Tyneside 10K not outdoors?

ha-ha! Yes, it was outdoors! I meant it's the first training I've done outside! Up until now I've just been in the gym on the treadmill but I think for the GNR it's sensible to use both the treadmill and outside runs! I've still got a long way to go! No pun intended :p

  • Morning alll,

Well iv got both me and the OH in the ballot for next year so fingers crossed.

After my 8 miles on sunday i tried to go for a short run but the legs just didnt have anything in them so i decided to cycle 10km in 20mins then did a 1km sprint on the treadmill and managed to get it under 5mins so happy as the legs felt really heavy after the cycling.

Last day in work for a few weeks as were off on holiday, still i have packed my running kit so i can atleast think about going running whilst i am away. I need to keep it up as other wise i will fall behind on my training and i dont want to let it slip too much.

Morning *bounces in* my legs are back to normal, seems overnight someone has kindly come in and taken away all the aches...:)
So tonight I might attempt a nice little run and I am dying to get out!
