Morning all. Another non-stretcher here! I think a gentle warm-up is the most important bit.

I pretty much count as a non-stretcher too, i guess...Although my groin's been giving me hassle for a couple of months, so stretching that out before and after a run now...

That's a great pic of becky - where does she find the energy :)

You should see how much energy she had left at the end!!!

She did a 3 mile brisk walk with me struggling to keep up and looked as fresh at the end as at the beginning - we're going to have to find something a little more challenging than a marathon for her methinks.:p

Hi again. Has anyone heard about the Adidas/Samsung miCoach? Is it any good? Here's looking at you, idio!

I've read reviews saying the handset is free with a contract, but I can't find a network where this is actually the case!

morning to you all.hope you marathoners are feeling good now...i am pleased with my progress at the moment as i was relatively pain free....but I have now sprained my ankle playing football last night. that was scary.. i broke and dislocated the other one playing football 5 years ago and it took a year to be right.... but luckily i got through it with just a smidge of twingy pains.wanted to run home after work but i guess i should wait another 24 hrs.i feel my footballing days are numbered....boo hoo...bought some new trainers.... from lillywhites....and the south african guys up there on the 6th floor where really helpful.time to retire my Kayano 12s....my wife is pleased...they dont smell too good....

    Hi everyone
Could I please join in? I started running again last night, don't know why but I did. I only ran 3.11 miles though and it was quite slow, took me 31.33. Hoping to do a couple of 5k and 10ks later on in the year. will start running seriously after my exam on 19 May. but by the sounds of things I will never catch up with you lot. You all seem to be doing fantastically well.

The more the merrier! Don't worry, there are a lot of beginners on here running less than 3 miles. The runners that do the most running also tend to post the most, so it can seem like a club for "advanced" runners, but it's not at all. Runners of all abilities are very welcome.

    welcome scorgeous...

3.11m in 31m.33s... looks good to me for the first time out and a good place to start the ground work for better things to come.

Hi Scorgeous...on the other side here :)
Thats a good pace for a first 3 mile run, most of us started at a slower, shorter distance than that!
