Hiya everyone! Congratulations to all you marathon runners!:j:T:D I am so jealous! But hoping to sign up in 2011:eek:

So having taken your advice, since the last time I posted, I have been doing lots of brisk walking, and have started doing a 5 minute run each day - I am actually quite pleased with myself, I can't remember the last time I ran for 5 mins non-stop!:o I've done it for three days now, but have noticed that I have started to cough up a bit of phlem (sp?) after each run... is this normal? I haven't got any other cold symptoms, so I don't think its that, and dont have any allergies that I know of... maybe its just my lungs working properly and kicking out all the lazy person carp out....!?!

    Sx

Its normal, Sarah, and although not nice, it won't last long!

5 mins consistent running is fab though, and a really good base on which to build - it will be increasing before you know it!

    Week2 (Abingdon)
    Mon27/4 Rest Day
    Tues28/4 Rest Day
    Weds29/4 14.0 Miles 1:49:14 (7:48/mile) (Pulse108)

The 2 rest days at the start of the week indicate that it took me as long to recover from the London Marathon as Hypno, Sally and Becky!:rotfl:

I'm actually not joking - its tough being a spectator. The hard part for me was standing three back in a crowd and spending minutes on end on tiptoes - by the end of the day my calf muscles were sooooo tight and sore.

But it looks like they're better now after tonight's run, it felt really good so happy again.:D

Now come on, stop being coy and get these photos posted Sally and Hypno. You performed in front of 500,000 people on Sunday, there's not much point in getting shy now!:p

Hey Rich when they finish finding all the good ones of me then I will post them up ;) ..you can't see the ones they have up at the moment as they are so small!

Glad to see you're still getting faster. Once I have decided what races I am doing will you do me another super duper training plan..pretty please? :)
