Anyone else notice that the cost of London Marathon has gone down...well I think it has unless I imagined the price being more this year, 2010 is £33 to enter now Im sure 2009 was in excess of £50. Abingdon is £33 (unaffiliated). Edit: Uk is right with the £28/£30, £33 is the online fee!
The cost of marathons isnt that big an issue because you're not going to do many of them. Its the ridiculous entry fees for 10Ks that is getting out of hand.
I've just entered the Rothwell 10K, which is next Monday, and the unaffiliated fee is £10 (therefore the true entry fee is £8). It is one of the best 10Ks in the country and that kind of entry fee is just about right.
So the 3 races I am doing on Saturday, Monday, Wednesday in this next week are £10, Free, £5.
