Idio - that was a question that was asked when I went on the fetch running weekend in February and the answer was - if you run lots there is no need for complimentary exercise...

but I guess it depends what you want to achieve.....

weight loss or run faster or.....

I've also applied for a place at VLM2010 at 4pm.

Can somebody tell me (pretty please) what stretching exercises they do before and after a run?

Ive entered for the VLM 2010 too..

    After all, it was Free..
  • Well, that wasn't as bad as I expected. Although my legs were heavy and felt as though they had sandbags tied to them I had no other ill effects - no tightness of the chest or breathing problems - so I figure I'm recovered enough to run again. :j:j

Not too fast tonight although I managed to get my speed up a few times - 4 miles 00:38:58 (09:39/mile)

There was a lovely downpour at about 2 miles which lasted most of the way home - does anyone else like the smell of fresh rainfall - it is just soooo refreshing. I had just got in the front door when there was a huge clap of thunder - think it must be my lucky day. :D:D

Rachel - I'll leave the experts to advise on stretching, I'm sure that one will be along soon.

I do the one where you stand on one leg, fold the leg back and hold the ankle against your bum.

then i do the one where you elevate the leg on a fence, and lock out the knee reaching forward

    then i do them again,

2x on each leg..hold for about 30secs each time.
