Dont push it - I know you're frustrated but the last thing you want is too make it worse by going back too soon and then be out for months and months! :D

You'll be running sub 25 soon enough :D

Thanks Hypno - I'm currently relaxing now (and for the rest of the day :D)

However, I entered Sussex Beacon yesterday and it looking pretty full so Sally and Rich if you're going to enter I would do it asap!

Have you finished your binge-drinking now?! Laughed that you were a bit tipsy this morning...you stilll managed a brilliant run though!

Hypno, I'm doing the housework thing too this morning.... I can't say I've got very far hehe. I'm hitting the gym later this afternoon.

Rich, I love reading about your progress and times. Always gives me belief that I can get better!

Okay a few stats from this morning's 5K race re Becky's run which are rather impressive:

    16th out of 56 ladies.

164th out of 664 in the all-time Ladies league for this course.

    Age grading 60.08%

This was the first time racing at 5K or anywhere near as sharp as this, so I think a big well done Becky is deserved all round!:D :D:D

Hi everybody. Great running this morning Rich and Becky. That sub-20 is dangling tantalisingly in front of you isn't it Rich? And Becky, a big dose of self-belief is needed. You were predicting sub-26 and you ended up convincingly sub-25! Fantastic running both of you!

I found this morning really tough for some reason. Last weekend I ran 15 miles and was skipping along right to the end. This morning I did just over 12 and the last 4 were such a slog. I felt like a different person from last weekend. Anyway, even though I didn't really 'enjoy' it as such, I am now feeling totally hyper and I'm buzzing :D .

Lets see if the legs still have a decent 10k left in them for tomorrow.

As instructed by Rich (and very deservedly so): WELL DONE BECKY!! (Is that big enough?)

    Thanks Chick,

    Still buzzing a little :D

Dont worry about the run - its better to take it easy today and push for the race tomorrow, besides 12miles is a good run!

    Good luck tomorrow!!

Well done Chickadee - 12 miles is another good block of miles in the legs. The struggle towards the end is no big deal, it could simply have been a little too quick or even if you had run later today a few hours more recovery might have meant you wouldn't have had the struggle.

    So another big stride forwards.

Good luck with the Chernobyl tomorrow. Beating 53:13 would be nice, but considering you're not resting before it something around 55:00 - 56:00 would be a decent performance.

PS Yes it is plenty big enough - we don't want her ego getting too carried away!:p :p:p
