The 5Ks are weekly 'free to enter' races around the country every Saturday morning:

  • Cool - only been on here a couple of days and already learning things. Well good luck to you both in both this weekend. I may use my insomnia and try and put some form of plan together now - could be interesting!

Only 8 and a half hours to the starting gun, so I suppose bedtime looms!:p

    Good luck with your planning.

    Just got back :D:D:D

Sub 25!!!! I'm so happy I killed it totally with around 24:41 :D

Yippeeeeee I like this free race thing and that pace is faster than I've been doing my intervals at and I saved a bit for third lap - still had a very fast sprint finish so I know I can go faster :D

    Happy running all!

(Oh and well done Rich - he'll do his own report... and we'll post the official results later :D)

    Mon19/1 Rest Day
    Tues20/1 3 x 1 Mile Intervals (6:08, 6:13, 6:17) (Average 6:13) (Pulse 128)
    Weds21/1 10 Miles 1:25:09 (8:31/mile) (Pulse 104)
    Thurs22/1 Rest Day
    Fri23/1 10K 52:06 (8:24/mile) (Pulse 102)
    Sat24/1 Parkrun Leeds Hyde Park 5K 20:16 (6:32/mile) (http://www.parkrun.com/Default.aspx?tabid=257 Event 69, Posn 18th)

Didn't quite go sub 20:00 this morning but very pleased nonetheless with another 'almost sub 20' clocking:p .

It still gave some positive indicators to the sub 40:00 10K being on for next Sunday.

But that was some kind of 'wow' performance from Becky - 7:57 miling on a hilly course. It just shows what can be done when she doesn't have dishy photographers and other distractions to put her off!:p :p
