It sounds like you have a good example in your mum.
If your muscles have previously 'jogged for miles' then you will soon get back into the routine, the 'muscle memory' will be a big advantage to you.
I look forward to hearing how you get on on Sunday!:D
Thank you!!
My mum is a fantastic inspiration, I just wish I'd kept it up with her rather then becoming a lazy late teen!! The only races I managed back then was 5ks. Since then I've had periods of getting back into running and when I picked it up again and trained for about a month October last year I stopped when I'd just gotten used to running 3miles again (without stopping, I get bored once I've stopped haha) so I'm hoping my general fitness now and 'muscle memory' will make it easier this time.
I've just gone onto www.jogwalkrun.co.uk (is it ok to post links here?) and my route to work is 2.2miles each way which I currently power walk... especially when late to work! so I'm thinking I might try to jog home on the days I go to the gym after work so I can get running back into a habit again.:ASaving for my future...0 -
Isn't it way past your two bedtimes anyway? (Rick, Becky) You don't want to oversleep in the morning do you? We don't know anyone who would do that do we?

Chickadee, great running and more ambitious plans over the weekend - you're really gearing it up now!:D
What sort of incompetent would sleep in and miss a race?:p
To be fair considering that we're currently knocking back champagne the pre-race prep is not going completely to plan!. Hic!:p
Excuses lined up already - thats good pre-planning I reckon!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
