Evening Becky
It sounds like you had a good day; I would have liked to have travelled up to watch the FLM as I've always loved watching it on the TV. Still, better to be out moving my backside than sitting on it lol
The trail race should be fun if it stays dry; they even have spot prizes - don't know how that works. It'll be good experience whatever happens and I'll take from it what I can.

I'm all excited - my number came through today for the trail run on 26 April so we had a trip out to Houghton to check out the area. It looks like the route is all bridle paths and cross country - it's a good job that the blurb says it's non-competitive as I've only done road running to date. Should be a hoot!!! :T
I always look bright red too!! I love trail running, its fun but quite challenging (well it is for me anyway!) I did a trail 10k last week and managed it in 1.07 - there are quite a few 10k's coming up in the next few weeks that I want to do and I am hoping at some point to crack the 1 hour mark....
Off out to do a 10k training run with run chum tomorrow (today!) at some point hope the weather is still good.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Well after my monthly injury good to be back..
did 8m last night over Alx Palace and 10m this morning to liverpool street station and back. so 18m in the space of 14hrs is not bad if you ask me..
now just got to keep injury free for the next 14 days and I should have my first t-shirt / medel in the bag...
Happy running all.

Hello all, I've not posted on here before but I've just started running about 5 weeks ago having never run before (and being 4 stone heavier than I ought to be!) Anyhoo I've just done the North Tyneside 10K run today in 1 hour 18 mins which I'm quite pleased with considering the excess weight coupled with the fact that I've not run / walked more than 3 miles before today! :j
Anyway, I have to keep the training up as I have a place in the Great North Run too, so I thought I'd pop in to say hello! I've been reading the thread and it seems alot of you are training for the London Marathon. Wow! I think I'll concentrate on achieveing my half marathon and see how I feel after that! :rotfl:Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0
