So how are you both feeling? Blisters? Aches and pains? Trouble going down steps?

    ...or just still buzzing ;)

I'll try and be a little quicker next time, but that Becky is getting a bit quick you know!!!:p:p

Oh, and having checked again, its not a tower - more of an overgrown electricity pylon on steroids.:p

I had to look hard, but all I could find was a postage stamp bit of redness on the top of my big toe - apart from that nothing, 4 limbs all still in working order.:D

Had to wait about 2 hours for the brain to rejoin the world of the living though!:p:p

Chick I feel fine - stitch aside the whole race was very comfortable - I felt like I wasnt trying and kept having to check my watch because I thought I was misreading it *rolls eyes*

Rich was a bit clumsy for about 10 minutes, didnt speak much for half an hour and then was back to normal once he'd had a mcflurry!

Its an interesting question, Chick, because my reaction shortly after the finish was that I had - but on reflection I dont think so because there was no sudden event, which there is when you hit the wall. There was more of a general gradual build up of muscle tiredness, specifically the calves, which caused a slowing of the pace.

But there was nothing that even remotely led to thoughts of stopping or not finishing, so I'm fairly sure 'The Wall' didn't manage to put in an appearance!:D:D

I certainly felt great at 20 miles, especially as I got news of Becky's time at that point:D, and I am now convinced it was dehydration that caused the muscle tiredness even though plenty liquids were taken on board throughout the race.

Interestingly though there is no muscle soreness now and walking perfectly normally, so thats a good outcome!:D And when Becky asked if I was going to do her 20 miler with her next weekend I didn't hesitate in accepting, so I feel pretty good and really cant find a way of being disappointed, despite the time being a little off target!

Loved the actual event - really well organised and yet it cant be repeated because it was the last running of the race! Boo.

Well it was well organised except that there was no water in the ladies loos before the race - tut tut ;)

I dont think Rich hit the wall either - he was able to keep pace at the end - several who had looked like they were really really suffering and Rich didnt look like that!!
