Hi guys, well done to Rich & Becky on your successful runs today. A great time for Becky, you must be really pleased with that. Rich, still a fantastic time, even if it is a little outside your target time. I can only dream of such speed! ;) You'll be well-prepared for Abingdon though, so hopefully on target later in the year.

Blackpool is always a difficult race to call, weather-wise, as there's no shelter at all from the sea, so if it is sunny, you get the reflection and if not, you get buffetted around.

Great results though, you must both be chuffed! Hitting the bubbly tonight Becky? :p

    Thanks guys :D:D

No bubbly tonight - annoying stitch - I was on for 1:50 or so, but still I treated it like a training run and sooo reaped the benefit - when the time came to split I would have run another lap if I had had the option (you weren't allowed as a half runner) - I am sooo excited about the marathon now!!!

Well done on your runs Chick and Hypno :D and great race Sammy :D

Am super chuffed for Rich too - it was sooo great to see him at 20 miles and at the finish!

sammy - trail running and cross country etc is a whole lot harder than road running......my run around the lake is easily worth a few seconds per mile compared to the road running I do.....so you are well on target for 60 mins in the near future, I am sure!

    :T

Thanks Hypno......thats good to know...it really was a lovely run through some lovely countryside so well worth it...and the run was well organised. Great cakes at the end too!:D

Well, lets see...unless Becky has squirreled away items that I haven't seen the goody bag is something like:

    1. A Crunchy Granola Roasted Almond bar.
    2. A sachet of Red Kooga Enegise liguid with ginseng.
    3. A facewash.
    4. Jordans Muesli sachet.
    5. Tube of Sanex shower gel
    6. Sanex deodorant.
    7. Some strange herb drops.

Plus of course a t-shirt with some kind of tower on the front and a very nice, chunky medal!
