Wow, we have our own Michael Fish!!:p :p

But hold on, wasn't he the one who said no hurricanes two days before a huge hurricane hit the south of England? :p

Anyway, that sounds promising, Becky, I hope you're something close to the actual weather there - its strong winds that need to be avoided.

Glad to hear everything still feels good, Hypno - your back should hopefully hold up now and see you through FLM.

Well the winds from last week involved a front that was moving through but it looks as if a nice high has settled for the time being and there's another behind it thats going to drop in for next week - so there's just question of where the two fronts between them will meet and when - it wont be Friday, but it could be Saturday and then be clear again for Sunday :D

At this range though its pretty much guesswork anyway - 5 days and less is when it starts to get accurate - so if there is a hurricane dont blame me ;)

Okay, but if you get to Friday and start predicting a hurricane I'm swapping marathons with you - you can do Blackpoool and I'll do FLM.:p :p

Remember I'm running as well - so if there's a hurricane I'll get blown in to the sea!!

I think it will be good running weather but not as clear as this weekend which is actually better...and you can run FLM for me if you want (I'll get a better time that way ;))
  • Hello all

Its been a while since Ive been on here but still running and still takcling the debt, which started at 27,000 but is now down to just over 10,000. Have also some savings which is specifically to pay off the debt early, so happy days.

    Doing the London Marathon in 4 weeks and training gone well, done 2 x18 miles, 3 x 20 milers and 21-22 last weekend which nearly killed me, so its now taper time. Did fleet half a couple of weeks ago in 1:53:06 and it was soooo hot, caught us all out a bit;

Hope everyone is training ok and the debts are being minimised
    22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500
    hsbc - 2000 - now 0 (12.9%) :T
    Halifax - 3500 now o(0%) :T
    Barclays - 1500 - now 0 (5.5%) :T

Hey SW lovely to see you back here:)
Sounds like your LM training is going really really well and top mileage there! I still can't quite get my head around the fact I will be doing the LM in under 4 weeks  I certainly wouldn't have thought it this time last year when I couldn't even run to the end of the road!

Hope the day goes well for you, do you have a time in mind that you are aiming for?
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
    Finally Debt Free...

    Hi SW,

Thats a good solid build up you've managed there with 6 x 18+ milers and a strong half marathon.

You should go to the line full of confidence ready to enjoy the day!:D :D

Are you aiming for sub 4?

    Hi Sw,

If you're doing a half at 1:53 you should be on for sub 4 unless you hit the wall - which you wont with all the mileage training you've done! I'm aiming for 3:45 and I'm doing a half race this Sunday which I'll take easily (since its nearly taper time) and hopefully get about that time...

    Which start are you on??

Its getting exciting isnt it :D
