Well done Gillz and Simply!!!
I am knackered - but in a good way, Sally I dont know how you do long runs and then not ache - jeez my legs hardly work now. My sunburn is also hilarious - I'm as pink as my coat
Great run this morning Rich - I watched the winners come in and Rich's still had style at the end unlike them - so I guess that means there's more to come eh
Off to snooze now - mmmm train journeys are the best kind of dead time0 -
Well done Gillz sounds like you had a good run!!
Wow, Becky go you - a great time and hills too.
I had a facial last week (very MSE as it was half price) and was told I had sun/wind burn on my face. I make sure I use sun protection now even when it's cloudy.
Hope you don't stay pink for too long. Rich - overcooked beetroot??? :rotfl: :rotfl:2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
I know he got a slap for that!!! Cheeky begger
In my defense - it was cold this morning at 6am when I got up - didnt realise how warm the sun was!!!0 -
It was warm out there today Becky...time to don the suncream (remember this for FLM everyone!)
It is amazing how I don't ache actually I think the trick is when I get home I stretch, stretch have hot shower and then I keep moving (the joys of having a young child) there is no time to sit down, have a sleep and relax so the muscles don't have time to think about stopping!
Well done on everyones runs today, Rich super speedy there!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Yep I do all of that - not the child running but suffice to say I dont sit still after my runs (especially the long ones) - I think Rich can vouch for that
I must just be ache prone! Ah well at least it feels like that satisfied earned it ache so I wont complain too much (well maybe a little)0 -

Completed the lincoln 10k today, in a time of 1hr 3mins which was expected.
The family decided to goto haven for the weekend, a complete nightmare. But last night we went out on the beer, and this morning woke up to find it was 9:35am and we had an hours drive to get to the 10k. We got up, then had to get the kids ready, which the wife was messing around. She simply cant just get dressed and get into the car. So the kids were left with nanny, then we set off on the journey from hell.
Then we get to lincoln, and the wife starts throwing up. Its 11-10am now and we start to walk to the start line. By the time im ready to set-off its about 11-25am now (the race started at 11am). The wife thought i could just start straight away, but there is stretching, toilet stop, numbers, ipod, watch, put tag on shoes etc, bearing in mind ive been driving for an hour so no chance to do it whilst im in motion.
I get ready to cross the start line, when the bloke says they have turned the timing machine off, brilliant, i could of just got in the car and drove home as i was not feeling too well anyway.
Last week i was playing football and was involved in a tackle with someone coming in hard and elbowing my in the left side of my rib cage probably level with my nipple, so i have a pain in my left chest area, hurts when i move and if i breathe in deep.
So we press on with the run, no chest pain but a hang over. Im running along and they are opening the roads up and collecting the cones. About 6mins into the run i start to catch the back markers (the walkers), so things are looking better.
15mins into it i now start catching up the old people, but as ive been running faster then usual i now have chest pain, and have to walk / stretch legs off. So the run went something like run - walk - run - walk.
Finished in a time of 1hr 3mins, 29secs on my watch. The clock time was 1hr 30mins or so.
Turning up late & having the chest pain put any hopes of finishing in less than 1hr, as i was looking for a point to simply give up and stop. Add in the factor of the chest pain, then the hangover, and having no breakfast. A total nightmare.
Maybe if i was running with the pack, i would of run it continous.
Always next time they say. Next time i think ill go on my own and i will be on time.0
