Rest day today for me.
I have to say I'm starting to get a bit restless, even though it was only last night that I did a 14 miler!
Will be out tomorrow for some sort of run, depending on what distance Becky fancies doing, and then the 5K Parkrun race on Saturday and the Bradford 10K on Sunday.
Then next week it will be a case of running every time I need to for the sake of keeping a reasonable level of sanity!:p

Well, work being what it is at the moment, no one gets a lunch break, and we are working right through - that means that suddenly it is home time (or beyond) and we've not had chance to finish a cuppa, yet alone have time to eat!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I have done that, Hypno, through just not being hungry and forgetting all about lunch, but that must be terrible if you simply dont get time to have 15 mins to eat something.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I always take a lunch break even if I have to stay late because I cant focus my mind properly if I am are hungry - Hypno it must be terrible to be under so much pressure that you cant eat at all - I was just forgetting my usual mid afternoon snack0

I'm used to it now - but it does make for a long day......and then a long week......and it explains my persistant tiredness somewhat
Of course, if I hadn't given up chocolate for lent, I would have a stash in my desk draw to shove in my mouth when I get the chance! But cereal bars don't hit the spot in the same way, so I don't bother!!
Work isn't always so so busy that we can't take lunch, but at this time of the year, we are all working flat out.....and everyone is just as tired.....but they are not trying to train for a bloomin marathon at the same time.
Note to the next Chancellor of the Exchequer - please can you move the end of the tax year to August.......?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Must say I always take a lunch break, even if it's just 20-30 minutes to stretch my legs and clear my head.
Not much to report. I scaled back my runs to do less distance, more often and haven't had any trouble so far. Will now slowly build the distance again. Also, I've been good with my stretching, which I've never really bothered with much in the past. Got a cold coming on, but I'll probably still do some gentle jogging unless it turns into a deadly strain of man flu.

A blustery 10 miles this afternoon and, despite it being a loop course, Becky was convinced there was a headwind for the whole 10 miles.:p
Very refreshing nonetheless and has built up an appetite nicely for this evening's meal!:D
Bought some new running shoes as well today for £19.99, which doesn't sound too bad - but the sting in the tail is that they have a life expectancy of 60 miles!:p So 33p per mile!!
Hope everyone enjoys getting windswept on their runs today.

Windswept and wet here today but still enjoyable and nice to get work out of the system.
4 miles for me tonight, 00:42:03 (10:19/mile). Rest day tomorrow before my first 8 mile run on Sunday.
Rich - £19.99?? What a bargain!! I have to ask - why do they have a life expectancy of 60 miles? Are you going to wear them once for a very long run and throw them away???2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Well done on braving the blustery stuff, Simply!
The running shoes are actually racing shoes, marketed as 100km shoes. Basically there is nothing to them, no support etc and therefore virtually no weight. But as such they fall apart very quickly!:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
