Ooh I'm in pain! I have been to see a fab sports physio. But I am at the stage of "it feels worse before it feels better".......but he says that by Thursday I will be as right as rain.

I never thought a spine could make the noises that mine made though - I am so glad I have got it looked at.

Well done to anyone getting the miles in this week.

    Good luck with race JJ

And ouch Hypno - hope it sorts itself out soon - I have a hyperflexiable back so I know what its like when they have to crack it back in - yuck :(

Well so I went out did a lovely 13 miles this evening in Hyde park (2 loops and some other bits) and saw a flock of grey heron, a city fox (part black) and lots of sausage dogs - and despite me aiming to take it slowly I still ran it in about 2 hours ;)

Got fracture clinic tomorrow morning as well to get an xray so that should be good to put my mind at rest :D

Good luck at the fracture clinic tomorrow, although it sounds as though it was just a niggle.

Hi peeps! It sounds like the walking (or running) wounded on here tonight, what with chiropracters, fracture clinics, etc. etc. I'll add to the number as I'm reporting in to say I have my GP appointment in the morning. Will let you know what he diagnoses. I also ordered my first set of sorbothanes too. After you guys telling me how brilliant they are, and our very own high-mileage sorbothane advert (Rich - that's you!) remaining uninjured with 100-mile weeks, I thought they must be worth exploring.

Am sitting with my feet up tonight and depending on Doc tomorrow I'll get out for a run later tomorrow. Off work on Thursday but I have a meeting at school so I won't get to run with the ladies so assuming I feel ok, I'll have a run at some point on Thursday, but I'll take it easy.

I know in fact the only one who isnt injured is Rich - go figure eh?!?

You're sounding a bit more positive tonight Chick at least - hope you get a diagnosis asap (I presume the bloods will take a while to come back from the lab...)

Hi Becky, yes I'm feeling much brighter today. I got a work meeting out of the way this evening too. I always get stressed when I have to present reports so that is something else ticked off the list.

I think Rich is made of tough stuff, that's why he is uninjured. ;)

    Week30
    Mon23/3 Rest Day
    Tues24/3 10K 47:34 (7:40/mile) (Pulse 98)

I was going to do some intervals tonight but it was very wet and blustery on the moor again - I don't mind wet but blustery, no thanks!!

So went and stretched the legs out on a 10K instead to keep ticking over.:D

All the injuries/illnesses will pass soon enough - just view them as an opportunity to get everything back to strength ready for the big races!:D

    1 Month, 00 Days, 23 Hours, 23 Minutes and 41 Seconds

The one month to go warning siren is about to go off - exciting times for all FLMers.:D :D:D

The last month is actually very enjoyable usually as the last push in training is done with the prospect of a nice leisurely taper down to the race itself. And then even more rest post race.:D

Hope the excitement is starting to build!!!

I am very excited now - even though my back is temporarily out of order, I have used these few days to give in to tiredness, and so I will be fighting fit shortly.

I had been out of breath, not badly, but just like you do when you are at the tail end of a cold......and apparently it was because my ribs were squashed together, not giving my lungs enough space to do their thing. Now that my back has been pulled back into place, I can take a much deeper breath, which will hopefully help my running nicely.

At the moment, though, I feel incredibly bruised! But that should ease for a gentle run tomorrow, so I am told! It could be the best £40 I have spent!!! And he sponsored me for FLM too - bonus :T
