Yipppeeeee Pink well done
Walking 4 miles is very tough on the body anyway - you'll find when you start running it'll feel easier on the soles of the feet, but tougher on the knees most likely.
Its great you can chat as well - remember that feeling - when you're running you'll want to run most of your runs at a pace that measn you can chat too!0 -
There's nothing 'puny and daft' about feeling like you're making progress, pink!
What is daft is to do too much too early and end up discouraged and/or injured!
You've made great strides in a short period of time - you'll keep surprising yourself with your improvements, and thats where the buzz comes from!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

i'm so excited!!! i feel so silly when you guys are running marathons and clocking up crazy mileage, but i really can't wait for a slightly slimmer and fitter version of me to be joining you
I'm trying to convince my mum and her mate to join the gym, they've both been told they need to, to help with "the change" so that'd be an instant chat pack, coz they can talk for britain lol
Did anyone else find when they first started that their sleep improved??? I'm a chronically late person, go to bed late, get up late, and then end up being late for everything coz i'm so tired. But last night i was tucked up and asleep by 11, and for the first time since childhood i woke up and was wide awake at 6.30  normally my alarm goes off at 7 and i snooze it and snooze til about 7.30am, it felt !!!!!!! fantastic tho!!! hee hee :rotfl:Debt@LBM1=£4050 1st DFD 27/08/09Debt @LBM2 =£14,469.97 2nd DFD 14/03/2018 :T

Pink,
Sleep improves without question. Its all about getting the unwinding thought processes done during your running rather than when you're in bed trying to get to sleep. As a result when you do got to bed you can get on with what you're there for - to sleep!!:D
(Any bets on who makes the first inappropriate remark?:p )Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I know right - it feels like if someone had said - theres this thing and it makes you feel GOOOOOD I might have actually tried it at school, but the problem is they expected you to be good already instead of training you up...0

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Ha, ha, ha, that made me laugh pink because that't exactly how I felt after my run this morning :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I had to stop myself from posting immediately I got back as I thought I should calm down a bit!!!
I'm on Week 3 Day 2 of my training plan and suddenly something seems to have 'clicked'. I'm starting to 'feel' my legs and seem to have gained confidence in my running from somewhere. This morning was my fartlek run and I found myelf checking my pace more and getting a better feel for what pace was comfortable and what was pushing myself. If you'd told me a few weeks ago I'd be doing this and not just panicking about getting round I wouldn't have believed you.
Anyway, I'm waffling - today's run - 4.02 miles, 00:37:22 (9:16/mile)2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
