Thanks for the advice

Will try the run then walk rather than runwalkrunwalk then, don't need any more injuries! (have non-running related ones)

I did a 5k 4 years ago and did it in 26 mins, so that's quite good then? Yay need to put in a bit more work now I'm edging towards 30 (and up the scales as well!) but I want to beat my time!

If I did do run walk, but limited myself to 15-30 seconds rest, would that be any better? Or just avoid completely?

I find at the moment that this method helps my asthma a lot, but obviously don't want to do this to the detriment of my legs!

Rich - Legs dont ache at all bar muscle ache from the cold i picked up over there. Also the marathon was on the 15th not the 17th. Started writing the report it may be long as it covers the entire week in cyprus.

I didn't book my place in the white horse half in time, so won't be doing that (gutted - it's mega-local).

I'll also be doing the Swansea Bay 10k again this year (27th September I think) and I think I'm doing another one in llanelli at some point, but I can't remember the details of that - and, of course, I might be in for abingdon

oh...and forgot to say...nice run in the sun again today, 7.1 miles, around 1:02 I think...Really enjoyed it, nice and gentle, good natter...

Well if someone had said Cyprus Marathon was beeing run I would have been there to Bravo KMS!!!
