"Real life" has got in the way of my running this week - my working hours are getting longer and longer the closer we get to the end of the tax year and I have had to fit in parents evenings, sports presentations for the children, working in my second job etc.......
I don't seem to have had time for ANYTHING this week and am shattered! Hoping to go for a run tomorrow to start next week off nicely, but it will be no more than 10 miles, with my attempt at 20 NEXT weekend
Happy running everyone......becky, I am sure you said something, but then again, maybe I was mistakenSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
well it was 7.7k actually and after the first ten mins the burger that I ate last night stopped feeling like a lead weight in my stomach.....
I really tried to run slower this week and I felt like I was running in slow motion, but i did average 11.19 mins per mile....it felt easier.
Life has got a little bit in the way for me too, I have two years accounts to do for nightmare client (SIL :rotfl: she won't mind me saying that) that have to be finished urgently but I am hoping to start training in earnest this week...honestly, simplycynical!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I'm impressed with the 11.19 Sammy, I find running slowly soooooooo difficult as I always feel that I'm in a hurry.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

What a lovely day today - started with the usual Saturday morning 5k, although today the venue was Wimbledon, with a fastest time so far of 19:21- very happy with that considering the miles in the last 4 days (58)!:D
Then this afternoon went for a little stroll around sunny London - and Becky has just discovered that our little meander was actually 9 miles. Time flies when you're having fun!:D:D:D
